2006–07 Debreceni VSC Season
The 2006–07 season was Debreceni Vasutas Sport Club's 33rd competitive season, 14th consecutive season in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I and 94th season in existence as a football club. In addition to the domestic league, Debrecen participated in that season's editions of the Magyar Kupa, the Szuperkupa and the UEFA Champions League. Debreceni Vasutas Sport Club is a Hungarian professional football club based in Debrecen that competes in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the first tier of Hungarian football. They are best known internationally for reaching the group stages of the UEFA Champions League in the 2009–10 season. Debrecen have become the second most successful club in Hungary since 2000, winning the Hungarian League seven times. History Debrecen was founded on 12 March 1902 as Debreceni Vasutas Sport Club. The club first reached the Nemzeti Bajnokság I in the 1943–44 season. Debrecen rose to domestic prominence in the early 2000s when they won their first Hungarian league title in 2004–05 season. Since then the club managed to win seven titles in the 2010s total. However, in the late 2010s the club lost its governmental support and started to decline. János Balogh (footballer)
János Balogh (born 29 November 1982) is a Hungary, Hungarian association football, football coach and a former Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. He is the goalkeepers coach with Debreceni VSC, Debrecen. Club career Early career Balogh began his career with hometown club Debreceni VSC, picking up a Magyar Kupa winner's medal in 2001. In 2004, he joined FC Sopron for a season where he won the Hungarian cup for a second time, before spending a brief spell with Nyíregyháza Spartacus and then returning to Debreceni VSC. Tamás Sándor (born 20 June 1974) is a Hungarian football manager and former player who is the current manager of Nemzeti Bajnokság III club Debreceni EAC. As a footballer he last played for Báránd KSE, and formerly for Debreceni VSC. Career Tamás Sándor began his career in his hometown team Debreceni VSC in 1991 and played for the side till 1997 when he joined Italian side Torino Calcio where he failed to impress. Aco Stojkov (; born 29 April 1983) is a Macedonian former professional footballer who played as a striker. Club career In his early years, he played with his compatriot Goran Pandev for Inter Milan youth teams. Tibor Dombi (; born 11 November 1973) is a Hungarian former professional footballer who played as a right midfielder. He spent most of his career with Debreceni VSC, where he amassed over 400 league appearances in two stints separated by spells at Eintracht Frankfurt in Bundesliga and at FC Utrecht in the Eredivisie. Zoltán Takács (born 26 November 1983, in Budapest) is a Hungarian people, Hungarian association football, football player who currently plays for Pátyi SE. Dragan Vukmir
Dragan Vukmir (; born 2 August 1978) is a Serbian professional football manager and a former defender. He is the manager of Hungarian club Diósgyőr. He was capped once for Serbia and Montenegro.
