10th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards
The ''10th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards'' was the 10th edition of the Interactive Achievement Awards, an annual awards event that honored the best games in the video game industry during 2006. The awards were arranged by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS), and were held at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on . It was also held as part of the Academy's 2007 D.I.C.E. Summit, and was hosted by stand-up comedian Jay Mohr. The original nomination package listed "Cellphone Game of the Year", but the finalists were listed for " Mobile Game of the Year". The nomination package also features a genre category of "Casual Game of the Year", but there were not any finalists named for this category. Hard Rock Hotel And Casino (Las Vegas)
The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino was a resort located near the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, United States. It now operates as Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The resort is located on on the corner of Harmon Avenue and Paradise Road, about a mile east of the Las Vegas Strip. At the time of its closure, the Hard Rock included 1,506 rooms across several hotel towers, a casino, and a music venue known as The Joint (music venue), The Joint. It had also hosted a weekly pool party event known as Rehab (party), Rehab. Plans for a Hard Rock hotel were announced in 1991, and the resort opened on March 10, 1995, as the world's first rock and roll-themed hotel. Michael V. Capps or Mike Capps is an American video game designer who was the president of Epic Games, based in Cary, North Carolina from 2002 to 2012. In 2018, he co-founded a new artificial intelligence company called Howso. He has been described as "a legendary figure in the video game industry." Satoru Iwata (; December6, 1959July11, 2015) was a Japanese businessman, video game programmer and producer. Beginning in 2002, he was the fourth president of Nintendo, as well as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Nintendo of America from 2013 until his death in 2015. Eiji Aonuma
is a Japanese video game designer, director, and producer at Nintendo. He is a senior officer within their Nintendo EPD division and serves as the producer of the ''The Legend of Zelda, Legend of Zelda'' franchise. Career Aonuma was born as on March 16, 1963, in Nagano Prefecture, Japan. He graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts in 1988 with a master's degree in composition design, working on animated puppets called Karakuri puppet, karakuri. Twilight Princess
