Željko Burić
Željko Burić ( ; born 15 July 1955) is a Croatian ophthalmologist and politician who has been serving as the List of mayors of Šibenik, mayor of Šibenik since 2013. Before taking mayoral office, he served as the director of the General Hospital of Šibenik-Knin County in Šibenik. Early life and education Born in Šibenik, Burić spent his childhood and completed his elementary education in his hometown. After finishing elementary school, he decided to further his education in a Antun Vrančić High School, gymnasium. He was enrolled at the School of Medicine, University of Zagreb, Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zagreb in 1974 and graduated in 1979. As a young physician, Burić followed the standard path of internship and passed his professional exam in June 1982. Šibenik
Šibenik (), historically known as Sebenico (), is a historic town in Croatia, located in central Dalmatia, where the river Krka (Croatia), Krka flows into the Adriatic Sea. The Homeland War Memorial () is a Croatian state medal awarded to both Croatian and foreign citizens who participated in the nation's Croatian War of Independence as a volunteer, part of the Croatian Army and Croatian Council of Defence or in some other role. Zlatan Stipišić (born 13 August 1968), also known as Gibonni, is a Croatian singer-songwriter and composer. He is one of the most successful and awarded recording artists from Croatia, receiving record-high 43 Porin music awards for his albums and songs. 2021 Croatian Local Elections
The first round of the 2021 Croatian local elections were held on 16 May and the Two-round system, second round, where necessary, on 30 May. 2013 Croatian Local Elections
Local elections were held in Croatia on 19 May 2013, with the second round held on 2 June where necessary. The elections were held to elect members of city councils, mayors, members of county councils and county prefects. The turnout was 47%, and 43% in the second round. Summary of mayoral results In Zagreb, populist right-wing and former Social Democrat Milan Bandić won 47.9% of the vote against Social Democrat Health Minister Rajko Ostojić's 22.7%. Bandic received a two-thirds majority in the second round.
