Viktor Viktorovich Shaytar ( rus, Ви́ктор Ви́кторович Шайта́р, p=ˈvʲiktər ˈvʲiktərəvʲɪtɕ ʂəjˈtar, born 13 February 1983) is a Russian racing driver. He is a current member of the SMP Racing driver programme.


Career


Russian Formula 1600 Championship

Born in Moscow, Shaytar began racing in his native Russia in 2002, winning the

from the first attempt. Shaytar remained in the championship till 2007, but wasn't able to repeat his success, finishing as runner-up in 2007.

Shaytar moved to the Formula Three class in 2008, racing in the Finnish and

Legends Russia

After one-year hiatus, Shaytar returned to racing in 2011, competing in the Russian Legends series. He stayed in the series for 2012 and won seven from twelve races.
