History


Inauguration

After having a trial run on December 2006, Corridor 5 began its operation on 27 January 2007, along with corridor 4, 6, and 7.


BRT station revitalization

On 15 April 2022, as one of the stations of corridor 5, TransJakarta temporarily closed the Kebon Pala BRT station (now Matraman Baru) for revitalization along with 10 other stations on corridor 1, 2, 9, and 11. The revitalization was carried out to integrate corridor 5 with the Matraman railway station as the brand new station on the

system. it was later followed by the Central Senen (Senen Sentral) and Pasar Jatinegara BRT stations, which were temporarily closed on 4 and 6 September 2022 respectively. Eventually on 22 December 2022, the revitalized Kebon Pala BRT station was reopened and renamed into "Matraman Baru". Later on 15 February 2023, the revitalized Pasar Jatinegara BRT station was reopened, later followed by the revitalized Central Senen BRT station on 31 May 2023. On 7 January 2023, the Kampung Melayu BRT station at the Kampung Melayu bus terminal was temporarily closed for revitalization either. The station is the terminus of corridor 5, 7, and 11, and several non-BRT routes. As the impact of the closure, corridor 5 was temporarily terminates at Pasar Jatinegara 1 BRT station, corridor 7 at Bidara Cina, and corridor 11 at Matraman Baru, while non-BRT bus routes were still operate normaly. At the first day of the closure, a number of passengers didn't know that the Kampung Melayu BRT station was temporarily closed. The Kampung Melayu BRT station was reopened on 19 July 2023, and all affected routes returned to operate normally.

Corridor 5C (PGC 2–Juanda)

Stations indicated by a → sign has a one way service towards Juanda only. * Italic text indicates that the BRT station is temporarily closed for renovation or the bus do not stop at the station. * Originally, this corridor serving the route from PGC 2 to the Monumen Nasional BRT station. Starting on 4 March 2023, TransJakarta began to temporarily extend the line to the Juanda BRT station.
