announced the signing of Schaken on an 18-month contract. He made his debut on 30 January in a 0–0 draw with Sumgayit. It was one of only four appearances Schaken made for Inter before the club's main sponsor withdrew sponsorship, resulting in the club being unable to pay the salaries of a number of its players. Inter's failure to pay players' salaries resulted in Schaken leaving the club after just six months to join ADO Den Haag. He later successfully approached FIFA in order to recover the monies owed to him by Inter.


ADO Den Haag

After only six-months in Azerbaijan, Schaken signed a two-year contract with ADO Den Haag on 22 July 2015.

for six months. He made his debut in a 4–0 away win over RKVV Westlandia. Schaken announced his retirement on 17 December 2018, six months before his contract with HBS expired, and said that he would look to obtain his coaching qualifications directly after retiring.
