Sekou Cissé
Sekou Cissé (born 23 May 1985) is an Ivorian professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Forward (association football)#Striker, striker. He most recently played for Anorthosis Famagusta FC, Anorthosis Famagusta in the Cypriot First Division. Club career Cissé began his career in his home country, but moved to the Netherlands in February 2004 under the advice of fellow Ivory Coast national football team, international Arouna Koné, who was playing for Roda at the time. Following the departure of Koné to PSV Eindhoven, Eindhoven in 2005, Cissé had a larger role in the Roda team and was noted for his speed. In 2006, it was reported that Louis van Gaal, coach of fellow Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar, was interested in signing him, as part of an exchange deal with Adil Ramzi. 2008 African Cup Of Nations
The 2008 Africa Cup of Nations, also known as the MTN Africa Cup of Nations due to the competition's sponsorship by MTN, was the 26th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial football tournament for nations affiliated to the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The tournament was staged at four venues around Ghana between 20 January and 10 February 2008. This was the last Africa Cup of Nations to use the old CAF logo. 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualification (CAF)
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) section of the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification saw teams compete for five berths in the final tournament in South Africa. The qualification stage doubled as the qualification stage for the 2010 African Cup of Nations, with fifteen teams qualifying for the finals held in Angola. In total, 53 nations participated; however, due to the presence of the two tournaments' respective hosts, 52 teams were involved in each competition. South Africa qualified automatically as host for the World Cup, and Angola qualified as host for the African Cup of Nations.
