The 1985 Yukon general election was held on May 13, 1985 to elect members of the 26th
Legislative Assembly of the territory of
Yukon
Yukon (; ; formerly called Yukon Territory and also referred to as the Yukon) is the smallest and westernmost of Canada's three territories. It also is the second-least populated province or territory in Canada, with a population of 43,964 as ...
, Canada. It was the first Yukon general election with live results coverage on television, and was suspenseful as telecommunications problems prevented the results of the Old Crow riding from being known outside of that community. It was won by the
New Democratic Party.
