Åstorp (old da, Aastrup) is a bimunicipal locality and the seat of Åstorp Municipality in Scania County, Sweden with 9,488 inhabitants in 2010. It is also partly located in Ängelholm Municipality. Overview Åstorp is a railway junction located along the European route E4 close to Helsingborg. Åstorp Station is located 25 minutes by train from Helsingborg and 70 minutes from Kristianstad on the local line Helsingborg-Hässleholm-Kristianstad. Åstorp grew in importance when the railway from Helsingborg to Hässleholm-Stockholm was completed in 1875. In 1886 a railway to Malmö was completed, and in 1888 Åstorp became a main junction when the Malmö-Gothenburg line was completed. These lines are still in use, although passenger traffic Malmö-Gothenburg is re-routed via Helsingborg-Ängelholm. The Ängelholm-Åstorp-Teckomatorp line is a main route for cargo trains to Malmö. Ängelholm Municipality
Ängelholm Municipality (''Ängelholms kommun'') is a municipality in Scania County in South Sweden in southern Sweden. Its seat is located in the city Ängelholm. In 1971 the ''City of Ängelholm'' was amalgamated with the rural municipalities ''Ausås'', ''Barkåkra'', ''Hjärnarp'' and ''Munka-Ljungby'', thus creating a municipality of unitary type. In 1974 a parish from the dissolved municipality ''Östra Ljungby'' was added. Ängelholm was until recently the home of a major airforce base. The base is now closed down and the premises taken over by the supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg. A notable landmark is the UFO memorial at Ängelholm. European Route E4
European route E4 passes from north to south through Sweden from the border with Finland, with a total length of . The Finnish part lies entirely within Tornio in northern Finland, and is only long. The Swedish part traverses most of Sweden except the extreme north and the west coast region, and is commonly considered the highway backbone of Sweden, since it passes in the vicinity of many of its largest cities and through the capital Stockholm. In particular, it is the mainline road used by most vehicle traffic, both cars and lorries, between the north (Norrland) and south of Sweden or beyond. From Haparanda on the Finnish border, it stretches south along the Gulf of Bothnia to Gävle, then on a more inland route southwards. Eslöv
Eslöv (; older da, Eslev) is a town and the seat of Eslöv Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden with 19,598 inhabitants as of 2018. Eslöv is part of the Öresund Region. History According to a map from 1717, Eslöv village was originally located in the current crossing Västergatan-Remmarlövsvägen. When the Southern Main Line, already passing through cities such as Stockholm and Malmö, was built through Eslöv the town's growth took off. On 4 October 1858 the first trains rolled on the southern main line through Eslöv. On 1 July 1865 the railway from Eslöv to Landskrona and Helsingborg (see Rååbanan) was taken into use and on 1 May 1866 the railway opened to Ystad. Teckomatorp () is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality situated in Svalöv Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden with 1,651 inhabitants in 2010. It has a railway station (local trains) on the Malmö–Teckomatorp–Helsingborg railway line. BT Kemi scandal Teckomatorp is the site of one of the largest toxic spills in Sweden. The company BT Kemi produced pesticides. During the 1970s, the inhabitants of Teckomatorp started complaining of an acrid odour from the plant that made people ill. It was also said that BT Kemi had buried barrels of toxic waste in the ground. Ramlösa () is a brand of carbonated mineral water from a source in Ramlösa Brunnspark in the southern part of Helsingborg, Sweden. Ramlösa goes back to the year 1707 when a mineral spa around the source was founded by Johan Jacob Döbelius. Ramlösa is very common in northern Europe and is considered high-quality mineral water. Ramlösa is also popular outside Scandinavia and the water is exported as far as the United States, Middle East, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Landskrona
Landskrona (old da, Landskrone) is a town in Scania, Sweden. Located on the shores of the Öresund, it occupies a natural port, which has lent the town at first military and subsequent commercial significance. Ferries operate from Landskrona to the island of Ven, and for many years there was also a connection to Copenhagen. Landskrona is part of the Øresund region. It is the seat of Landskrona Municipality. Landskrona is also the name of a district in Landskrona Municipality which is slightly smaller than the urban area. Ljungby, Sweden
Ljungby () is the central locality of Ljungby Municipality, Kronoberg County, Sweden, with 15,785 inhabitants in 2015. Ljungby was instituted in 1829 as a ''köping'', or ''market town'', and did not become a municipality of its own when the first local government acts took effect in 1863, but retained part of the surrounding rural municipality of the same name.
