Ryna Bahdanovič
RIA were a rock band from Manchester, England, consisting of Seven members - Caroline Sterling, Anthony Grantham,Saharia Lonat,Hanai Maiwa,MaddisonLeanoah, (previously of the Britpop band Marion), Alexander Redhead and Pete Gray. Grantham and Redhead also featured in an earlier Manchester band, Chalk, which also included members Patrick Briscoe and Andrew Woollard. Manchester () is a city in Greater Manchester, England. It had a population of 552,000 in 2021. It is bordered by the Cheshire Plain to the south, the Pennines to the north and east, and the neighbouring city of Salford to the west. Britpop
Britpop was a mid-1990s British-based music culture movement that emphasised Britishness. It produced brighter, catchier alternative rock, partly in reaction to the popularity of the darker lyrical themes of the US-led grunge music and to the UK's own shoegaze music scene. Marion (band)
Marion are an English Britpop band, formed in 1993 in Macclesfield, Cheshire. The band's classic lineup featured frontman Jaime Harding (born Jaime Brian Harding, 27th February 1975), guitarist Phil Cunningham, guitarist Tony Grantham, bassist Julian Phillips and drummer Murad Mousa. The band released two studio albums before splitting up in 1999, due to Harding's heroin addiction which saw him not rehearsing with the band that year. Although originally lumped in with the "Madchester" scene they were later seen more as a northern version of Suede and the band felt that this latter label held them back. In 2006, Harding and Cunningham recruited a new set of musicians and reformed the band. Channel M was a regional television station, serving Greater Manchester. The station, originally known as ''Manchester Student Television'', was owned and operated by the GMG Regional Media division of Guardian Media Group. Coverage Originally an RSL station, Channel M was primarily available free-to-air on terrestrial in parts of Greater Manchester. In 2004 Channel M launched on the NTL (now part of Virgin Media) digital cable platform, around Greater Manchester, mid-Lancashire and Cheshire.
