This is a list of mosques in Indonesia. The Indonesian term ''Masjid Agung'' is translated as "Great Mosque", while ''Masjid Raya'' is translated as "Grand Mosque." ''Masjid Keramat'' is translated as "Holy Mosque." ''Masjid Jami'' is translated as Jami Mosque which refers to the congregational mosque where the weekly Friday prayer takes place. Congregational Mosque
A congregational mosque or Friday mosque (, ''masjid jāmi‘'', or simply: , ''jāmi‘''; ), or sometimes great mosque or grand mosque (, ''jāmi‘ kabir''; ), is a mosque for hosting the Friday noon prayers known as ''jumu'ah''.* * * * * * * * * It can also host the Eid prayers in situations when there is no ''musalla'' or ''eidgah'' available nearby to host the prayers. Luar Batang Mosque
The Luar Batang Mosque ( id, Masjid Luar Batang) is one of the oldest mosques in Jakarta, Indonesia, located in the area of '' Pasar Ikan'' (Fish Market) in North Jakarta on the west side of the Sunda Kelapa Harbor. The Mosque was built in the 18th-century and named after ''Luar Batang'', in accordance with the nickname of a sacred guardian of Islam, ''Habib Luar Batang'', where his shrine is also located. History ''Habib Husein bin Abu Bakr bin Abdillah al-Aydarus'' was born in Mighab near Hazam in Hadhramaut, but migrated to Batavia when he was relatively young at around 20 years old to preach Islam. Al-Mansur Mosque
The Al-Mansur Mosque ( id, Masjid Jami Al Mansur) is one of the oldest mosques in Jakarta, Indonesia. The mosque is located at Jembatan Lima, Tambora, Jakarta. The mosque is one of the listed cultural heritage of Jakarta. The mosque is named after Kh. Mohammad Mansur who is familiarly called ''Guru Mansur''- a Betawi figure known for his fight against Dutch colonial rules. Al-Anshor Mosque
The Al-Anshor Mosque ( id, Masjid Al-Anshor) is arguably the oldest mosque in Jakarta, Indonesia. It is located at Pekojan, Tambora, Jakarta and was built in 1648. History The first existence of this mosque is known from a report of a pastor to the Council of Church in 1648. At that time, the mosque of al-Anshor is not only for worship, but also as a religious school to study Koran in Kampung Pekojan. The mosque was originally founded by the traders from Gujarat and Bengal, who at that time used to visit Jakarta for trade. According to Adolf Heuken SJ, in the book 'History of Jakarta', Yemeni and Indian Muslims were settled at Pekojan.
