Aravind Subramanian, known by his stage name Aravind SA, is an Indian stand-up comedian. He initially worked as an assistant director in the Tamil film ''Arrambam'' (2013). He was voted one of the most desirable men in Chennai by the ''Times of India'' in 2017. He gained fame via stand-up comedy clips uploaded to YouTube, including from his first solo-show ''Madrasi Da'', that criticized the Hindi song " Lungi Dance". Arrambam
''Arrambam'' () is a 2013 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Vishnuvardhan. Produced by A. Raghuram and co-written by Subha, the film stars Ajith Kumar, Arya, Nayanthara and Taapsee Pannu, with Kishore, Rana Daggubati, Akshara Gowda in supporting roles. While the score and soundtrack of the film were composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the cinematography was handled by Om Prakash and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. Following a six-month long pre-production and the official announcement of the project in May 2012, filming commenced in June 2012 and continued for the next 15 months. Majority of the filming happened in Mumbai. Other locations included Chennai, Bangalore, Dubai, Hyderabad, Mahabaleshwar, Jaisalmer, Leh and Ladakh. "Lungi Dance" is an Indian song composed and sung by Indian rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh for the soundtrack of the 2013 Bollywood film ''Chennai Express''. The soundtrack was officially released on 1 July 2013. The song is a tribute to Rajinikanth. Release "Lungi Dance" was released as the ninth single from the album. The launch of the original music of the film took place in Mumbai, where performances were seen by the film's music directors and cast members. The star-studded event's telecast rights were sold to a TV channel for INR48 crore (US$7.7 million). The song is said to have significantly more popularised the lungi, a traditional dress in India.
