Zygmunt Kukla (conductor)
Zygmunt Kukla (born 27 August 1969) is a Polish conductor, arranger, and composer. He graduated from the Department of Jazz and Popular Music at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. From 1991 to 1996 he was the conductor of Janusz Józefowicz’s ''Metro'' musical. In 1989 he founded '' Kukla Band'' orchestra, with which he concerts in popular Polish TV shows, festivals and galas. Repeatedly, Kukla held the function of musical director of greatest Polish festivals (in Opole and Sopot) and in TV series ''Twoja twarz brzmi znajomo''. Kukla is married, and has two children. Conducting is the art of directing a musical performance, such as an orchestral or choral concert. Kukla Band
''Kukla, Fran and Ollie'' is an early American television show using puppets. It was created for children, but soon watched by more adults than children. It did not have a script and was entirely ad-libbed. It was broadcast from Chicago between October 13, 1947 and August 30, 1957. Comedienne Fran Allison starred, interacting with puppets, Kukla and Ollie (and sometimes other puppets) whose puppeteer was the show's creator, Burr Tillstrom. After the original run, the team appeared in other productions over several decades. Original series Burr Tillstrom was the creator and only puppeteer on the show, which premiered as the hour-long ''Junior Jamboree'' locally on WBKB in Chicago, Illinois, on October 13, 1947. Janusz Józefowicz (born 3 July 1959, Świecie) is a Polish director, choreographer, actor and dancer. He is the director and choreographer of the musical '' Metro''. Education Józefowicz is a graduate of the State Higher School of Theatre, Warsaw (now the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art). His graduate production, ''Misbehaving'', was created in 1984. The show was performed at the Ateneum Theatre and the , where Józefowicz later became head choreographer. ''Metro'' is a Polish musical with music by Janusz Stokłosa and lyrics by Agata and Maryna Miklaszewska. Choreographed and directed by Janusz Józefowicz, the musical was funded and initially produced by Wiktor Kubiak. The play, initially staged on January 31, 1991 in Warsaw's Dramatic Theatre, turned out to be a major success in Poland and is notable for a large number of young artists who started their career in its crew. ''Twoja twarz brzmi znajomo'' (Polish: ''Your Face Sounds Familiar'') is a Polish talent show broadcast by Polsat that is based on the Spanish version of the series. The show involves eight celebrities and/or artists (singers, actors and television personalities) portraying various iconic singers in order to win a cash prize for a charity of their choice.
