The Zeegenbach is a stream in Franconia, Germany, in the Franconian Jura region, and is about long. The Zeegenbach lies about south-west from Bamberg by the town of Strullendorf. Name In official maps, the Zeegenbach is sometimes also called the Ziegenbach. Course The Zeegenbach has its source east of the village Zeegendorf, in the karsts of the Franconian Switzerland. Rhine–Main–Danube Canal
The Rhine–Main–Danube Canal (German: ''Rhein-Main-Donau-Kanal''; also called Main-Danube Canal, RMD Canal or Europa Canal), is a canal in Bavaria, Germany. Amlingstadt is a small village located in Bavaria, Germany. It is in Upper Franconia, in the Bamberg district. Amlingstadt is a constituent community of Strullendorf. In 2009, Amlingstadt had a total population of 687. Geography The village lies about 7 kilometers south-east from Bamberg, at the edge of the Hauptsmoorwald forest. Strullendorf is a community in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg. Geography Location Strullendorf lies in a valley and is partly surrounded by the Hauptsmoorwald (forest), near which lies the Hauptsmoorhalle (a concert venue). The Hauptsmoorwald stretches all the way to Bamberg and parts of it are used by the US Army stationed there as a training area. A particularly pleasant place in Strullendorf is the Lindenallee, with its huge old trees. Bamberg
Bamberg (, , ; East Franconian: ''Bambärch'') is a town in Upper Franconia, Germany, on the river Regnitz close to its confluence with the river Main. The town dates back to the 9th century, when its name was derived from the nearby ' castle. Regnitz
The Regnitz is a river in Franconia, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Main and is in length. The river is formed by the confluence of the rivers Rednitz and Pegnitz, which meet in the city of Fürth. From there the Regnitz runs northwards through the cities of Erlangen and Forchheim. It finally meets the Main near the city of Bamberg. Including its source rivers Rednitz and Franconian Rezat, it is long, providing the furthest source (and hence length) of the Main's river system, the largest and longest right bank tributary of the river Rhine.
