Zvartnots-AAL Football Club ( hy, Զվարթնոց-ՀԱՈւ Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ – Zvartnots-AAL Futbolayin Akumb), is a defunct Armenian football club, from the capital Yerevan, represented the Armenian Airlines. History The club was founded on February, 1997 by the Armenian Airlines, the state-owned flag carrier of Armenia. It made its debut in Armenian football in the 1997 Armenian First League, where they finished on 8th position. The team produced its first notable result in the 1998 Armenian First League, where it became the league's champions and won promotion to the Armenian Premier League. In a few years Zvartnots-AAL would become one of the main contenders to the Premier League title. The Armenian Premier League ( hy, VBET Հայաստանի Պրեմիեր Լիգա, known as the VBET Armenian Premier League for sponsorship reasons) is the top association football, football competition in Armenia. From 1936 to 1991, the competition was held as a regional tournament within the USSR. After independence, the Football Federation of Armenia has been the unit in charge. History Armenian Airlines was established shortly after independence in 1991 from Aeroflot's Armenia directorate, and was the sole carrier in Armenia until 2002, when private companies Armenian International Airways and Armavia began to compete with it. Profitable until 1997, Armenian Airlines began a decline in 1998 which executive director Arsen Avetisian blamed on the 1998 Russian financial crisis. NK Primorje
Nogometni klub Primorje ( en, Primorje Football Club), commonly referred to as NK Primorje or simply Primorje, was a Slovenian football club which played in the town of Ajdovščina. After Slovenia's independence in 1991, Primorje spent a total of 18 seasons in the Slovenian PrvaLiga until the club folded following the 2010–11 season when they were, due to high financial debt, unable to obtain competition licences issued by the Football Association of Slovenia.
