Zilveren Harp
The Zilveren Harp (Silver Harp) is a Dutch award given annually to promising musical talent. The award is very prestigious and winners are chosen by a different jury each year. The Zilveren Harp is given by the foundation "Buma Cultuur", which aims to promote Dutch music. The first award was given in 1969, and it has been presented every year since (except for the year 1972). Buma Cultuur also presents the Gouden Harp award, which is given to an artist for his entire oeuvre and Buma Export Award for acts which are successful abroad. Winners The winners are announced at the end of the year, but the presentation is usually in February of the next year. Euson
Julio Bernardo Euson (born April 12, 1941), professionally known as Euson, is an Aruban-Dutch singer, songwriter and occasional actor. Biography Euson formed his first band aging just twelve years. After winning a number of amateur talent contests on Aruba he tried his luck and emigrated to the Netherlands in 1962. Besides accepting a job at he joined the beat groups ''The Scarlets'' from The Hague, changing to the Rotterdam garage rock band ''Kreole Kats'' which renamed to ''Julio uson& the Kreole Kats''. Tol Hansse
Tol Hansse (born Johannes Adrianus "Hans" van Tol, 3 April 1940, Laren - 29 April 2002) was a Dutch singer and musician. He was the son of cabaret artist . Because of his father's history of collaboration during World War II he changed his name. Hansse played trumpet accompanying Tom Manders, and was in the rock band The Sharks with Clous van Mechelen. He had a modestly successful career as a singer-songwriter in the 1970s. Van Mechelen wrote the music for his biggest hit, "Big City" (1978), still considered a classic song about Amsterdam. Louisa Johanna Theodora van Dort (born May 16, 1943 in Surabaya, Dutch East Indies) is a Dutch actress, comedian, singer, writer and artist of Indo (Eurasian) descent. On April 29, 1999, Queen Beatrix appointed her ''Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau''. She has appeared on many children's television programs and is best known for her Indo (Dutch-Indonesian) character of Tante Lien in ''The Late Late Lien Show'' on Dutch prime time television. Robert Long (22 October 1943 in Utrecht as Jan Gerrit Bob Arend (Bob) Leverman – 13 December 2006 in Antwerp) was a Dutch singer and television presenter. Biography Under the stage name "Bob Revel" he founded the band The Yelping Jackals in 1963. In 1967 he moved to another band, called Unit Gloria (at that time using the name Gloria). In 1971 he began to sing solo, under the name "Robert Long", a reference to his height. Only a year later he left Unit Gloria to concentrate on his solo career. He started singing in English, but not long after that he also began to sing self-written songs in Dutch. His Dutch songs were critical of Dutch society and of American politics.
