Phyllis Barbara Kind ( Cobin; 1933–2018) was an American art dealer active in Chicago and New York. She promoted the work of the Chicago Imagists and outsider artists. Early life and family Phyllis Kind was born Phyllis Barbara Cobin in The Bronx, New York City on 1 April 1933 to Harold Cobin, a dentist, and Dorothy (Weintraub) Cobin. She was their only child. The family lived in Brooklyn as well as The Bronx. She and her mother also lived for about three years in St. Petersburg, Florida while her father performed military service. She attended the Bronx High School of Science and the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied chemistry. Her studies included chemistry at the graduate level. The Juming Museum () is a museum in Jinshan District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. It displays the works of Taiwanese sculptor Ju Ming. History Initially purchased the building and the surrounding wasteland area for his personal art works collection storage in 1987, Ju Ming personally designed the architecture, landscapes, wiring and plumbing of the structure. Aside from purchasing the property to build the museum, he also donated over 2,000 pieces of his own works and personal collection to the museum for the public to view. Starting from the ground up, it took him 12 years to finish the construction work and he had turned a vacant land into a sculpture park. The museum officially opened on 19 September 1999.
