In March 2020, Zawyeh opened a second gallery in Dubai. In addition to exhibitions in its two spaces, the gallery has participated in Beirut Art Fair, Art Dubai, and other fairs in Turkey and Europe. Ramallah
Ramallah ( , ; ar, رام الله, , God's Height) is a Palestinian city in the central West Bank that serves as the ''de facto'' administrative capital of the State of Palestine. It is situated on the Judaean Mountains, north of Jerusalem, at an average elevation of above sea level, adjacent to al-Bireh. Ramallah has buildings containing masonry from the period of Herod the Great, but no complete building predates the Crusades of the 11th century. The modern city was founded during the 16th century by the Hadadeens, an Arab Christian clan descended from Ghassanids. In 1517, the city was incorporated into the Ottoman Empire, and in 1920, it became part of British Mandatory Palestine after it was captured by the United Kingdom during World War I. Sliman Mansour ( also Suleiman or Suliman, ar, سليمان منصور, born 1947), is a Palestinian painter, considered an important figure among contemporary Palestinian artists. Malak Mattar
Malak Mattar (; born 17 December 1999) is a Palestinian painter, illustrator, and author of children's books. She is from Gaza. Early life and education Mattar was raised in Gaza City. Her father's family is from Ashkelon, and he is a former member of the Palestinian foreign service; her mother is from al-Batani al-Sharqi and works as a UNRWA English teacher. Mattar attended UNRWA schools until ninth grade. Mattar was given the chance to study abroad for college, after graduating high school in 2017 with the second-highest GPA in Palestine. She attended university at Istanbul Aydin University in Turkey, where she studied political science and international relations. She lived with an older sister who was also studying in Istanbul. Samir Salameh
Samir Salameh ( ar, سمير سلامة; 16 August 1944 – 16 August 2018) was a Palestinian-born French visual artist, known for painting. Early life Salameh was born in the city of Safed, Palestine on 16 August 1944 and on the impact of the 1948 exodus was forced to move with his family to the city of Majd al-Krum in Galilee, and from there to the Bint Jbeil village in Lebanon. Samir stayed with there for a short time, and continued his career in Beirut and Damascus, and finally settled in the monastery of the Christian community on the shield. Career Salameh began painting early, and received encouragement from the art teacher, a Syrian artist named Adham Ismail. He entered the faculty of fine arts of the Damascus University, and finished his studies in 1972 and then moved to Beirut, where he joined Palestine Liberation Organization. Nabil Anani
Nabil Anani ( ar, نبيل عناني born 1943), is a Palestinian artist and one of the founders of the contemporary Palestinian art movement. Biography After his graduation in 1969, from the faculty of Fine Arts at Alexandria University, Anani returned to Palestine to start his career as an artist and trainer at the UN training college in Ramallah. His first exhibition in Jerusalem was in 1972 and has since exhibited widely in Europe, North America, the Middle East, North Africa and Japan. He was appointed in 1998 as the head of the League of Palestinian Artists and was a key played to establish the first International Academy of Art in Palestine. The Palestinian Museum
The Palestinian Museum is a flagship project of the Welfare Association, a non-profit organization for developing humanitarian projects in Palestine. Representing the history and aspirations of the Palestinian people, the museum aims to discuss the past, present, and future of Palestine. The museum building in Birzeit, 25 km north of Jerusalem, was inaugurated on 18 May 2016. The inaugural exhibition "Jerusalem Lives" was opened on 26 August 2017.
