Zambezi Magic
Zambezi Magic is a 24-hour African general entertainment channel created by Multichoice for DStv. It is one of M-Net's local interest channels catering for Zambian, Zimbabwean, Botswana, Eswatini, Malawi, Lesotho and Namibian audiences. History The channel was launched on the 1st of July 2015 on DStv channel 160, after Multichoice Zambia made a call to local content producers for local productions. According to DStv Zambia the channel was created to target the Southern African viewers. M-Net
M-Net (an abbreviation of Electronic Media Network) is a South African pay television channel established by Naspers in 1986. The channel broadcasts both local and international programming, including general entertainment, children's series, sport and movies. While the TV signal is generally encrypted, M-Net showed some programmes 'free to air' in its "Open Time" slot between 5 p.m. and 7 pm, until the slot closed on 1 April 2007. DStv
Digital Satellite Television, commonly abbreviated to DStv, is a Sub-Saharan African direct broadcast satellite service owned by MultiChoice and based in Randburg, South Africa. Launched on 6 October 1995, the service provides multiple audio, radio and television channels and services to subscribers, mostly in South Africa and Nigeria. DStv formerly had operations in Thailand under United Broadcasting Corporation (UBC), which is now TrueVisions. History In 1986, pay-television came to South Africa when a single-channel analogue service, M-Net, was launched by Naspers and local businesses/companies.
