Zalo Reyes
Boris Leonardo González Reyes (3 November 1952 – 21 August 2022), best known as Zalo Reyes, was a Chilean singer. He was also known by the nickname "Gorrión de Conchalí" ("Sparrow of Conchalí"). Life and career Born in Conchalí, Reyes started his career in the late 1970s, and got his first hit in 1979 with the song "Una lágrima y un recuerdo", recorded with the group Espiral. He got the peak of his fame in the 1980s, even thanks to the participation in several popular television programs of the time, such as '' Sábado Gigante''. In 1983 he took part in the Viña del Mar International Song Festival with the song "Con una lágrima en la garganta". Other Reyes' hits include "Ramito de violetas", "Acorralado entre mis lágrimas", "María Teresa y Danilo" and "My Prisonera". Conchalí
Conchalí () is a commune of Chile located in Santiago Province, Santiago Metropolitan Region. It is a northwestern suburb of Santiago. Demographics According to the 2002 census of the National Statistics Institute, Conchalí spans an area of and has 133,256 inhabitants (64,973 men and 68,283 women), and the commune is an entirely urban area. The population fell by 12.9% (19663 persons) between the 1992 and 2002 censuses. Its 2006 population was projected at 120,151 persons. Radio Bío-Bío is a Chilean radio station with broad coverage in Chile. It covers news, sports, music, economics, and international relations. The station was founded in 1966 in Concepción. In the 1990s it began to expand across the country. The first additional stations were in southern Chile in Temuco, Osorno and Puerto Montt, and Santiago in 1997. One of the main stations is operated in Lonquimay in the Cordillera of the Andes in the Araucanía Region. This station, Bío Bío Lonquimay, was established in 1995 in an isolated area and provides radio service for a mainly indigenous community.
