Zainal Abidin Hassan
Zainal Abidin Hassan bin Ali (born 9 November 1961) is a Malaysian former footballer and the former head coach of Malaysia Super League side Penang. Playing career A versatile footballer who can playing in multiple positions, Zainal Abidin is well known as the best Malaysian footballer in the 80's and 90's. His football career started with Selangor FA in 1980. At the age of 18 years 6 month, Zainal made his international debut in the 1980 Merdeka Tournament against Indonesia. He played along with Malaysian legendary striker the late Mokhtar Dahari, R Arumugam, Soh Chin Aun and other recognised faces in Malaysian football. In 1987, he partnered Dollah Salleh in front as they became the fierce striker for Selangor FA and Pahang FA in Malaysia Cup and also the national team in SEA Games, Asian Games and Merdeka Tournament. Selangor

Merdeka Tournament
Merdeka Tournament or Pestabola Merdeka is a friendly football tournament held in Malaysia to commemorate the Independence Day. The competition bears the Malay word for independence. As of 2022, it has been held 40 times, and decreasingly in recent decades. Matches in Merdeka tournament considered International "A" matches (Friendly match) by FIFA. Its final has been mainly held at Stadium Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur. An unusual feature is it has four times seen a draw result, twice with the home nation and teams from South Korea, and twice with the latter and variously Taiwan and Myanmar (then predominantly called Burma). In total, 76 male footballers to date have scored at least 50 goals with their national team at senior level, according to FIFA documents and RSSSF statistics. Dollah Salleh
Dollah Salleh (born 10 October 1963) is a Malaysian football coach and former player. He is well-known to MSL fans as Pablo Dollah. One of Malaysia's most decorated players, he has also been manager of Malaysia's national team. Playing career Dollah was one of Malaysia's top footballers in the 1980s and 90s. With striking partner Zainal Abidin Hassan, the two were regarded as the twin strikers by fans. Dollah first played in Malaysian football in 1982. At that time he represented Johor, which was one of the teams in the semi-pro era. When Dollah joined Selangor in 1987, a new twin striker was born after the era of Hassan Sani and James Wong.
