Yongkang Railway Station (Zhejiang)
Yongkang railway station () was a railway station in Yongkang, Zhejiang, Yongkang, Jinhua, Zhejiang, China. It was used by both passengers and freight. History The station opened on 21 April 1996. In April 2000, freight services were introduced. The station was closed on 16 June 2021 following a project to divert the Jinhua–Wenzhou railway away from the city centre and instead along the alignment of the Jinhua–Wenzhou high-speed railway. As a result, passenger services were moved to the existing Yongkang South railway station, while freight operations were moved to a newly-built station, Yongkang East railway station, Yongkang East. Yongkang (), formerly known as Lizhou (), is a county-level city located in the central part of Zhejiang province, in the People's Republic of China. It is southeast of the Jinhua, Jinhua City boundary and approximately 180 km (111.8 mi) from Hangzhou. It has an area of and a population of 964,203 as of the 2020 census, including more than 100,000 non-resident workers. Jinhua
, alternately romanized as Kinhwa, is a prefecture-level city in central Zhejiang province in eastern China. It borders the provincial capital of Hangzhou to the northwest, Quzhou to the southwest, Lishui to the south, Taizhou to the east, and Shaoxing to the northeast. Jinhua–Wenzhou Railway
The Jinhua–Wenzhou railway (), also known as the Jinwen line, is a railway in Zhejiang Province, China, connecting Jinhua and Wenzhou. It is the first railway with the investment from a joint venture, between Chinese government-owned corporations and privately held companies in mainland China. The construction of this -long rail line began on December 18, 1992, and it was opened on June 11, 1998. Upon the completion of its construction, all of the share owned by private shareholders has been transferred to state-own corporations. The railway is now under the supervision of CR Shanghai. A major upgrade along this route was carried out as the Jinhua–Wenzhou high-speed railway or Jinhua–Wenzhou Rail Expansion Project. Jinhua–Wenzhou High-speed Railway
Jinhua–Wenzhou high-speed railway, also known as Jinhua–Lishui–Wenzhou high-speed railway as well as the Jinhua–Wenzhou railway expansion renovation project, is a high-speed railway operated by China Railway Shanghai Group in Zhejiang province. This line follows a similar route to the conventional Jinhua-Wenzhou Railway but has stations unique to this line. Yongkang South Railway Station
Yongkang South railway station () is a railway station in Yongkang, Jinhua, Zhejiang, China. It is the only passenger railway station in the city. Freight is handled by Yongkang East.
