Yogyakarta Railway Station
Yogyakarta Station, commonly known as Tugu Station (abbreviation YK, number 3020) is a railway station located in Yogyakarta, Special Region of Yogyakarta, in Indonesia. The altitude of this station is amsl. It is the biggest and most important station in Yogyakarta, located in the heart of the city. This station is adjacent to Jalan Malioboro. The city's other most important station is Lempuyangan railway station. History Staatsspoorwegen (SS) was built the railway line from Cilacap towards Yogyakarta as a part of developing Javanese southern line. This station was opened along with opening of the line on 20 July 1887. A unique fact about this station is, the southern platform was owned by the first company of Javanese railway system, the Nederlandsch-Indische Spoorweg Maatschappij (NIS) with 1,435 mm gauge. ''Staatsspoorwegen'' (Dutch for State Railways, full name: ''Dienst der Staatsspoor- en Tramwegen in Nederlandsch–Indië'' (State Railways and Tramways Service in the Netherlands Indies, ''SS en T''), commonly abbreviated as SS) was a railway company owned by the Dutch East Indies colonial government. The company was one of the companies that were transferred to the present Kereta Api Indonesia after Indonesian independence in 1945. Bima Train
Bima Train is an executive class train that is operated by PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) in Java with the service running between Gambir Station (GMR) - Surabaya Gubeng Station (SGU) and vice versa. ''Bima'' was initially an acronym for "Biru Malam" lit. Night Blue. Argo Wilis
''Argo Wilis'' is an executive class train operated by PT Kereta Api Indonesia between Surabaya and Bandung in Java, Indonesia. The train covers in 11 hours with stoppage at Cipeundeuy, Tasikmalaya, Banjar, Kroya, Kutoarjo, Yogyakarta, Solo Balapan, Madiun, Kertosono, Jombang, and Mojokerto. This train runs in the morning from Bandung to Surabaya Gubeng or vice versa, and arrives at the destination at night.
