Yuliya Kharkivska
Yuliya Shepilenko (née Kharkivska, born 14 September 1976) is a former female Ukrainian alpine skier. She competed in two events at the 1998 Winter Olympics. She finished 33rd in downhill and 20th in combined. After she finished her sporting career, she started to work as alpine skiing coach. Alpine skiing, or downhill skiing, is the pastime of sliding down snow-covered slopes on skis with fixed-heel bindings, unlike other types of skiing ( cross-country, Telemark, or ski jumping), which use skis with free-heel bindings. Whether for recreation or for sport, it is typically practiced at ski resorts, which provide such services as ski lifts, artificial snow making, snow grooming, restaurants, and ski patrol. The 1998 Winter Olympics, officially known as the and commonly known as Nagano 1998 ( ja, 長野1998), was a winter multi-sport event held from 7 to 22 February 1998, mainly in Nagano, Japan, with some events taking place in the nearby mountain communities of Hakuba, Karuizawa, Nozawa Onsen, and Yamanouchi. The city of Nagano had previously been a candidate to host the 1940 Winter Olympics (which were later cancelled), as well as the 1972 Winter Olympics, but had been eliminated at the national level by Sapporo on both occasions. Olha Knysh
Olha Ihorivna Knysh ( uk, Ольга Ігорівна Книш; born 6 October 1995) is a former female alpine skier from Ukraine. She represented Ukraine at the 2018 Winter Olympics. She participated thrice at World Cup in giant slalom but she didn't manage to qualify for the second run in any race. Sporting career Knysh began skiing in September 1998 in Lviv, Ukraine. She also tried tennis, judo and artistic gymnastics but decided to focus on alpine skiing at the age of 14. Knysh was coached by former Olympian Yuliya Shepilenko who represented Ukraine at the 1998 Winter Olympics. She represented Ukraine at the 2011 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival and 2013 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival with her best result being 35th in giant slalom in 2013. Anastasiya Shepilenko ( uk, Анастасія Русланівна Шепіленко, born 9 October 2000) is a World Cup alpine ski racer from Ukraine. Career Shepilenko started her international career in 2017 when she represented Ukraine at the 2017 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival in Turkish Erzerum (she was 25th in slalom and 36th in giant slalom).
