Olha Knysh
Olha Ihorivna Knysh ( uk, Ольга Ігорівна Книш; born 6 October 1995) is a former female alpine skier from Ukraine. She represented Ukraine at the 2018 Winter Olympics. She participated thrice at World Cup in giant slalom but she didn't manage to qualify for the second run in any race. Sporting career Knysh began skiing in September 1998 in Lviv, Ukraine. She also tried tennis, judo and artistic gymnastics but decided to focus on alpine skiing at the age of 14. Knysh was coached by former Olympian Yuliya Shepilenko who represented Ukraine at the 1998 Winter Olympics. She represented Ukraine at the 2011 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival and 2013 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival with her best result being 35th in giant slalom in 2013. She started at three World Championships between 2015 and 2019. Her best finish was 49th in slalom in 2017. Alpine Skiing At The 2018 Winter Olympics – Women's Super-G
The women's super-G competition of the PyeongChang 2018 Olympics was held at the Jeongseon Alpine Centre in PyeongChang on Saturday, 17 February. Qualification A total of up to 320 alpine skiers qualified across all eleven events. Athletes qualified for this event by having met the A qualification standard only, which meant having 80 or less FIS Points and being ranked in the top 500 in the Olympic FIS points list. The Points list takes into average the best results of athletes per discipline during the qualification period (1 July 2016 to 21 January 2018). Countries received additional quotas by having athletes ranked in the top 30 of the current World Cup season (two per gender maximum, overall across all events). Åre () is a locality and one of the leading Scandinavian ski resorts situated in Åre Municipality, Jämtland County, Sweden with 3,200 inhabitants in 2018. The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2019 were held from 4 to 17 February 2019 in Ã…re, Sweden. The host city was selected at the FIS Congress in Barcelona, Spain, on 5 June 2014. The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2017 were the 44th FIS Alpine World Ski Championships and were held from 6 to 19 February 2017 at Piz Nair in St. Moritz, Switzerland.
