Yugandhar
''Yugandhar'' is a 1979 Indian Telugu-language action film, produced by P. Vidya Sagar on Sri Gajalakshmi Arts banner and directed by K. S. R. Das. The film stars N. T. Rama Rao, Jayasudha, and music composed by Ilaiyaraaja. It is a remake of the Hindi film ''Don'' (1978). Plot The film begins with a deadly & daredevil gangster Yugandhar hiding from Interpol's international criminal list. A special Interpol officer David lands to work with S.P. Jagannath. Once, Yugandhar senses & slays his acolyte Ramesh a police informer. So, his enraged fiancee Kamini avenges his death, but she too killed. Consequently, Jaya the sister of Ramesh secretly plots to wipe out Yugandhar and enrolls in their gang. During an operation, Yugandhar becomes a victim of a bullet and dies which Jagannath alone is aware of. Ergo, he silently buries the body, ensuring that Yugandhar is still alive. Billa (2009 Film)
''Billa'' is a 2009 Indian Telugu-language gangster action thriller film directed by Meher Ramesh. The film stars Prabhas in a dual role alongside Krishnam Raju, Anushka Shetty, Hansika Motwani, Namitha, Rahman, and Kelly Dorjee. A remake of the 2007 Tamil film '' Billa'', which itself was a remake of the 1978 Hindi film '' Don'' by Salim–Javed, it is the second remake of ''Don'' in Telugu after ''Yugandhar'' (1979). The film began its production in October 2008 and was released on 3 April 2009. Plot The story begins with an underworld don Billa hiding and operating out of Malaysia, hiding from Interpol's international criminal list. Don (1978 Film)
''Don'' is a 1978 Indian Hindi-language crime action thriller film directed by Chandra Barot, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Zeenat Aman and Pran. Written by Salim–Javed, and produced by Nariman Irani, the film also features Iftekhar, Om Shivpuri, and Satyen Kappu in pivotal roles. Bachchan played dual roles, as the titular character and his lookalike simpleton. The plot revolves around Vijay, a Bombay slum-dweller who resembles the powerful criminal Don, being asked by Police Superintendent D'Silva to masquerade as Don after to the latter's death, in order to act as an informant for the police and track down the root of the criminal organization. The film features music by Kalyanji–Anandji, with lyrics by Anjaan and Indeevar. It was the third highest-grossing Indian film of 1978, and was classified a golden jubilee by Box Office India. Jayasudha Kapoor (born Sujatha Nidudavolu) is an Indian actress and politician known for her works predominantly in Telugu cinema. Salim–Javed were an Indian screenwriting duo, composed of Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, working in Bollywood. They are noted for being the first Indian screenwriters to achieve star status, becoming the most successful Indian screenwriters of all time. Don (character)
Don is a fictional character in the ''Don'' film franchise. He was first introduced in the 1978 film '' Don''. He later appears in a remake '' Don'' and its sequel '' Don 2''. The character was created by the writer duo Salim–Javed ( Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar), and was portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan. In the reboot series, Don was played by Shah Rukh Khan. Tadepalli Lakshmi Kantha Rao (16 November 1923 – 22 March 2009) was an Indian actor and producer known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. Kaikala Satyanarayana (25 July 1935 – 23 December 2022) was an Indian actor, producer, director, and politician who predominantly worked in Telugu cinema.
