Yogi Bear (video Game)
''Yogi Bear'' is a 1987 arcade adventure video game developed by British studio Dalali and published by Piranha Software. It was released in Europe for Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64 (C64), and ZX Spectrum. In the game, Yogi Bear sets out to rescue Boo-Boo after he is captured by a hunter. ''Yogi Bear'' received praise for its graphics, but criticism for its controls. Gameplay ''Yogi Bear'' is a side-scrolling arcade adventure that takes place in Jellystone Park. Boo-Boo is captured by a hunter who intends to sell him to a circus, and it is up to Yogi Bear to rescue him. Playing as Yogi Bear, the player must travel across Jellystone Park and find Boo-Boo before a time limit runs out, while also avoiding numerous obstacles such as geysers and rivers. Enemies such as snakes, frogs, hunters, and Ranger Smith must also be avoided. Yogi can jump and duck to avoid obstacles, and can also disguise himself as a bush to hide from enemies. Piranha Software
Piranha Software was a short-lived video game publishing label created by Macmillan Publishers in 1986 and closed eighteen months later. ACE (magazine)
''ACE'' (Advanced Computer Entertainment) was a multi-format computer and video game magazine first published in the United Kingdom by Future Publishing and later acquired by EMAP. History ACE launched in October 1987, roughly the same time as Ludlow-based publisher Newsfield's own multi-format magazine ''The Games Machine''. The magazine staff consisted mainly of ex-''Amstrad Action'' (AA) and ''Personal Computer Games'' staff, including launch co-editors Peter Connor and Steve Cooke.
