Yianni Perkatis
Yianni or Giannis Perkatis (born 8 March 1994) is an Australian soccer player who plays as a central midfielder for Sydney United 58 FC. Club career In 2012, he made one appearance for National Premier Leagues NSW side Blacktown City. On 29 March 2013 Perkatis made his A-League debut for Western Sydney Wanderers against the Newcastle Jets. On 13 May 2015 Perkatis was released from his contract with Western Sydney two weeks early to allow him to join Blacktown City. In June 2016, Perkatis joined Cypriot Second Division side Ethnikos Assia FC on a free transfer. After impressing with his limited opportunities in Cyprus, he was forced to depart the club over unpaid wages on the duration of his contract. In January 2017, Perkatis joined Global FC as AFC Champions League qualifications loomed. Waratah Cup
The Waratah Cup is a knockout cup competition in New South Wales, run by the governing body of football in NSW, Football NSW. Teams competing in the Waratah Cup come from the National Premier Leagues NSW, National Premier Leagues NSW 2, National Premier Leagues NSW 3, National Premier Leagues NSW 4 and numerous other semi professional & amateur association clubs within New South Wales. The Cup is held during the NPL NSW seasons. Since 2014 preliminary rounds of the Waratah Cup have been used to determine the NSW entrants to the national FFA Cup competition, now known as the Australia Cup. 2020 National Premier Leagues
The 2020 National Premier Leagues was the eighth season of the Australian National Premier Leagues football competition. The league competition was played by eight separate state and territory member federations, namely the ACT, NSW, Northern NSW, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia. Effects of the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic The season commenced in February, with the first games played in the Queensland competition. Sydney United 58 Football Club is a semi-professional soccer club and current NSW NPL Champions based in Edensor Park, Sydney, New South Wales Australia. The club was formed as Sydney Croatia in 1958, by Croatian Australians in the area, but it was renamed in 1993 as Sydney United after having the name Sydney CSC for a season. The 2019–20 A-League, also known as the 2019–20 Hyundai A-League for sponsorship reasons, was the 43rd season of national level soccer in Australia, and the 15th since the establishment of the A-League in 2004. The regular season commenced on 11 October 2019 and was scheduled to conclude on 26 April 2020, though was postponed to 19 August 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
