2020 National Premier Leagues
The 2020 National Premier Leagues was the eighth season of the Australian National Premier Leagues football competition. The league competition was played by eight separate state and territory member federations, namely the ACT, NSW, Northern NSW, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia. Effects of the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic The season commenced in February, with the first games played in the Queensland competition. The competition was suspended for one month due to the impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia, effective 18 March to 14 April, and subsequently extended. Apart from Victoria, competitions resumed in the various member federations between late June and late July. In Victoria, preliminary plans for the resumption of competitions for the 2021 season were released in October 2020, confirming that the current season had effectively ended. The National Premier Leagues (NPL) is a national association football competition in Australia which acts as the second tier of the sport in the country below the A-League. The NPL consists of the highest level state league in each state-based federation within Australia. 2021 Football South Australia Season
The 2021 Football South Australia season was the 115th season of soccer in South Australia, and the ninth under the National Premier Leagues format. The men's competitions consisted of three major divisions across the State. The season commenced on 9 April, and finished with the State League 2 Grand final on 20 October, the State League 1 Grand final on 21 October, and the NPL Grand final on 22 October. Para Hills Knights SC is a soccer club based in Para Hills West, South Australia, a suburb in the north of Adelaide. Founded in 1964, the club has multiple State League championships, and have been runner-up in both the Premier League and Federation Cup, The club currently competes in the State League 1 South Australia. History The Para Hills Community Soccer Club was formed by Robert Eldridge, John Eldridge, Chick Harris, John West, Andy Balter and Malcolm Owen on March 24 1964. The aim of the club being to foster and promote the game of soccer in the Northern Suburbs. The Eldridge brothers were Tottenham Hotspur supporters, so their kit early on was full white. North Eastern MetroStars Soccer Club, commonly known as MetroStars, is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in Adelaide, South Australia.
