Yevgeniya Kolodko
Yevgeniya Nikolayevna Kolodko (russian: Евгения Николаевна Колодко; born 22 July 1990) is a retired Russian shot putter. Career Kolodko was initially awarded the bronze medal in the shot put competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, upgraded to silver on the disqualification of Nadzeya Ostapchuk, after recording her personal best of 20.48 m. In 2016, she was stripped of the medal after reanalysis of her samples from the event resulted in a positive test for the prohibited substances turinabol and ipamorelin. Kolodko won silver medals at the 2013 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Gothenburg (disqualified in 2017) and at the 2014 European Athletics Championships in Zurich (disqualified in 2023). Personal life Kolodko was born on 22 July 1990 in Neryungri, Siberia. In September 2015, she married the Canadian shot putter Dylan Armstrong, whom she had dated since 2012. 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships
The 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Athletics was the 14th edition of the global-level indoor track and field competition and was held between March 9–11, 2012 at the Ataköy Athletics Arena in Istanbul, Turkey. It was the first of four IAAF World Athletics Series events in 2012, which includes the World Race Walking Cup, the World Junior Championships and the World Half Marathon Championships. Preparation The IAAF announced on March 25, 2007, at an IAAF Council meeting in Mombasa, Kenya that it had received bids from Turkey and Qatar to host the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships. In November 2007 at an IAAF Council meeting in Monaco, Doha was selected to host the 2010 edition, but due to the quality of the Istanbul bid, the Turkish city was chosen to host the following edition of the competition in 2012. 2011 World Championships In Athletics – Women's Shot Put
The Women's shot put event at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics was held at the Daegu Stadium on August 28 and 29. There were two main contenders for the gold medal: New Zealander Valerie Vili (who returned to using her maiden name of Adams following her 2010 divorce) and Nadzeya Astapchuk of Belarus. Adams, with four straight wins on the Diamond League circuit, entered the competition as the defending champion and reigning Olympic champion. Astapchuk was the only other woman to have thrown over 20.50 m that season and held the world leading mark of 20.94 m.
