Yersinia Virus FPS-2
''Yersinia'' is a genus of bacteria in the family Yersiniaceae. ''Yersinia'' species are Gram-negative, coccobacilli bacteria, a few micrometers long and fractions of a micrometer in diameter, and are facultative anaerobes. Some members of ''Yersinia'' are pathogenic in humans; in particular, '' Y. pestis'' is the causative agent of the plague. Rodents are the natural reservoirs of ''Yersinia''; less frequently, other mammals serve as the host. Infection may occur either through blood (in the case of ''Y. pestis'') or in an alimentary fashion, occasionally via consumption of food products (especially vegetables, milk-derived products, and meat) contaminated with infected urine or feces. Speculations exist as to whether or not certain ''Yersinia'' can also be spread by protozoonotic mechanisms, since ''Yersinia'' species are known to be facultative intracellular parasites; studies and discussions of the possibility of amoeba-vectored (through the cyst form of the p ...

Yersinia Aldovae
''Yersinia aldovae'' is a species of bacteria that was originally described as Group X2 ''Yersinia enterocolitica''. Its type strain is CNY 6005 (= CDC 669-83 = ATCC 35236). ''Y. aldovae'' has been isolated from aquatic environments and soil, but it has not been associated with animal or human illnesses. Coccobacilli
A coccobacillus (plural coccobacilli), or bacilluscocco, is a type of bacterium with a shape intermediate between cocci (spherical bacteria) and bacilli (rod-shaped bacteria). Coccobacilli, then, are very short rods which may be mistaken for cocci. ''Haemophilus influenzae'', ''Gardnerella vaginalis'', and ''Chlamydia trachomatis'' are coccobacilli. ''Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans'' is a Gram-negative coccobacillus prevalent in subgingival plaques. ''Acinetobacter'' strains may grow on solid media as coccobacilli. ''Bordetella pertussis'' is a Gram-negative coccobacillus responsible for causing whooping cough. ''Yersinia pestis'', the bacterium that causes plague, is also coccobacillus. ''Coxiella burnetii'' is also a coccobacillus. Bacteria from the genus ''Brucella'' are medically important coccobacilli that cause brucellosis. ''Haemophilus ducreyi ''Haemophilus ducreyi'' is a fastidious gram-negative coccobacillus bacteria. It causes the sexually transmitted dis ...

Gram-negative
Gram-negative bacteria are bacteria that do not retain the crystal violet stain used in the Gram staining method of bacterial differentiation. They are characterized by their cell envelopes, which are composed of a thin peptidoglycan cell wall sandwiched between an inner cytoplasmic cell membrane and a bacterial outer membrane. Gram-negative bacteria are found in virtually all environments on Earth that support life. The gram-negative bacteria include the model organism ''Escherichia coli'', as well as many pathogenic bacteria, such as ''Pseudomonas aeruginosa'', ''Chlamydia trachomatis'', and ''Yersinia pestis''. They are a significant medical challenge as their outer membrane protects them from many antibiotics (including penicillin), detergents that would normally damage the inner cell membrane, and lysozyme, an antimicrobial enzyme produced by animals that forms part of the innate immune system. Additionally, the outer leaflet of this membrane comprises a complex lipo ...

Yersiniaceae
The Yersiniaceae are a family of Gram-negative bacteria that includes some familiar pathogens. For example, the type genus ''Yersinia'' includes ''Yersinia pestis'', the causative agent of plague. This family is a member of the order Enterobacterales in the class Gammaproteobacteria of the phylum Pseudomonadota. The name Yersiniaceae is derived from the Latin term ''Yersinia'', referring the type genus of the family and the suffix "-aceae", an ending used to denote a family. Together, Yersiniaceae refers to a family whose nomenclatural type is the genus ''Yersinia''. Biochemical characteristics and molecular signatures These bacteria are motile, catalase-positive, and do not produce hydrogen disulfide. Analyses of genome sequences from Yersiniaceae species identified three conserved signature indels (CSIs) that are uniquely present in this family in the proteins TetR family transcriptional regulator and a hypothetical protein. These CSIs provide a reliable molecular method ...

Bacteria
Bacteria (; singular: bacterium) are ubiquitous, mostly free-living organisms often consisting of one biological cell. They constitute a large domain of prokaryotic microorganisms. Typically a few micrometres in length, bacteria were among the first life forms to appear on Earth, and are present in most of its habitats. Bacteria inhabit soil, water, acidic hot springs, radioactive waste, and the deep biosphere of Earth's crust. Bacteria are vital in many stages of the nutrient cycle by recycling nutrients such as the fixation of nitrogen from the atmosphere. The nutrient cycle includes the decomposition of dead bodies; bacteria are responsible for the putrefaction stage in this process. In the biological communities surrounding hydrothermal vents and cold seeps, extremophile bacteria provide the nutrients needed to sustain life by converting dissolved compounds, such as hydrogen sulphide and methane, to energy. Bacteria also live in symbiotic and parasitic relationsh ...

Genus
Genus ( plural genera ) is a taxonomic rank used in the biological classification of extant taxon, living and fossil organisms as well as Virus classification#ICTV classification, viruses. In the hierarchy of biological classification, genus comes above species and below family (taxonomy), family. In binomial nomenclature, the genus name forms the first part of the binomial species name for each species within the genus. :E.g. ''Panthera leo'' (lion) and ''Panthera onca'' (jaguar) are two species within the genus ''Panthera''. ''Panthera'' is a genus within the family Felidae. The composition of a genus is determined by taxonomy (biology), taxonomists. The standards for genus classification are not strictly codified, so different authorities often produce different classifications for genera. There are some general practices used, however, including the idea that a newly defined genus should fulfill these three criteria to be descriptively useful: # monophyly – all descendants ...
