Yermilov Centre
Yermilov Center is a center of contemporary art in Kharkiv, Ukraine, which opened in March 2012. It is named after the famous Kharkiv artist, representative of the Ukrainian avant-garde, Vasyl Yermylov. Yermilov Centre is a multifunctional space for exhibition projects and interaction between artists, curators, critics, and researchers. The areas of activity of the center include exhibition projects, art residencies, educational projects, lectures and discussions, seminars, etc. Appearance and design of the center The interior design was proposed by Kharkiv Architect, architects and Designer, designers Igor Ostapenko, Inna Pedan, and Andriy Khvorostyanov. Neorealism (art)
In art, neorealism refers to a few movements. In literature Portuguese neorealism was a Marxist literary movement that began slightly before Salazar's reign. It was mostly in line with socialist realism. In painting Neo-realism in painting was established by the ex-Camden Town Group painters Charles Ginner and Harold Gilman at the beginning of World War I. They set out to explore the spirit of their age through the shapes and colours of daily life. Their intentions were proclaimed in Ginner’s manifesto in ''New Age'' (1 January 1914), which was also used as the preface to Gilman and Ginner’s two-man exhibition of that year. It attacked the academic and warned against the ‘decorative’ aspect of imitators of Post-Impressionism. Oleg Drozdov
Oleh Drozdov (; born September 12, 1966) is a Ukrainian architect, artist, and educator. Founder of the architectural bureau Drozdov&Partners and co-founder of the Kharkiv School of Architecture. Biography Oleh Drozdov was born on September 12, 1966, in Volgodonsk (USSR). In 1990, he graduated from the Kharkiv Civil Engineering Institute, School of Architecture. While studying at the university, he and his colleagues implemented the first small projects. These were mostly interiors, small cafés and clubs. In 1990, after graduating from the university, he was assigned to the city of Sumy (Ukraine), where he led an architectural design team in the office of the chief architect until 1993. Oleh Mykhaylovych Tistol ( uk, Олег Михайлович Тiстол, born on 25 August 1960) is a Ukrainian artist, a representative of Ukrainian neo-baroque and one of the leaders of the Ukrainian New Wave. Biography Oleh Tistol was born in the urban-type settlement of Vradiivka, Mykolaiv Oblast to scientist-agriculturist Mykhaylo Fedorovych Tistol.
