Yan Xing (artist)
Yan Xing ( Chinese characters: 鄢醒, born 1986) is an artist known for performance, installation, video and photography. He grew up in Chongqing and currently lives and works in Beijing and Los Angeles. Early life and education Yan Xing was born in Chongqing in 1986. He studied at the Oil Painting Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute from 2005 to 2009. After receiving his B.A., he moved to Beijing. Artistic career Yan Xing is known for his interdisciplinary projects which have built a complex, compelling body of work that reflects critically on how history is manufactured today. He interrogates literature, history, and history of art. His work explores themes of negativity, resistance and order and the complexity of their connectivity. Yan Xing's works involve an extremely broad range of media, including performance, video, photography, installation, and painting, among others. Palazzo Contarini Dal Zaffo, also known as ''Palazzo Contarini Polignac'' is a large palace in Venice, located in the Dorsoduro district, overlooking the Grand Canal, in an intermediate position between Palazzo Brandolin Rota and Palazzo Balbi Valier. Attribution The palazzo was probably built in the second half of the 15th century. The architect of the palazzo is unknown, but the design is frequently attributed to Giovanni Buora, Mauro Codussi, or Pietro Lombardo. The architect was most likely inspired by the Lombard architectural style. Together with Palazzo Dario the building is one of the first examples of Renaissance architecture structures in the city. He Xiangning Art Museum () is an art museum in Nanshan, Shenzhen, China. Construction of the museum started in 1995 and was opened in 1997. The museum is named after He Xiangning, former leading person in the Revolutionary Committee of the KMT, wife of assassinated leader of the KMT left, Liao Zhongkai, mother of the late Overseas Chinese Commission Head Liao Chengzhi, and an amateur artist. It is the first national art museum in China to be named after a person.
