Lisa Gwilym
Lisa Gwilym (born 17 June 1975) is a Welsh broadcaster. She is best known as a presenter for BBC Radio Cymru and the Welsh language television channel, S4C. Television Gwilym began her career at S4C in 1998 as a continuity presenter for the ''Planed Plant'' children's strand. In October 2001, she joined the S4C live teen magazine programme ''Uned 5'' (Unit 5) as a presenter. During her time on the show, she took part in the 2003 John Cooper Mini Challenge. She also co-presented a special documentary with then-colleague Gethin Jones from Madagascar. Gwilym quit as presenter in December 2004, but stayed with the programme as a producer until 2006. The ''Western Mail'' is a daily newspaper published by Media Wales Ltd in Cardiff, Wales owned by the UK's largest newspaper company, Reach plc. The Sunday edition of the newspaper is published under the title ''Wales on Sunday''. It describes itself as "the national newspaper of Wales" (originally "the national newspaper of Wales and Monmouthshire"), although it has a very limited circulation in north Wales. HighBeam Research was a paid search engine and full text online archive owned by Gale, a subsidiary of Cengage, for thousands of newspapers, magazines, academic journals, newswires, trade magazines, and encyclopedias in English. Media Wales Ltd. is a publishing company based in Cardiff, Wales. As of 2009 it was owned by Reach plc (formerly known as the Trinity Mirror Group). It was previously known as the Western Mail & Echo Ltd. History The ''Western Mail'' was founded in 1869 by the 3rd Marquess of Bute as a Conservative newspaper. In 1893, the original building in St. Mary Street was destroyed by fire and a new building was opened also in St Mary Street two years later. In 1928 the Western Mail Ltd amalgamated with David Duncan & Sons, who published the ''South Wales Daily News'' and the ''South Wales Echo'', which was established in 1884. Sbardun
Alun Huws (26 September 1948 – 15 December 2014), known professionally as Sbardun, was a Welsh musician and songwriter, known mainly for founding 1970s folk band Y Tebot Piws. He worked exclusively in Welsh and only gave one English language interview to the music press. Sbardun was born in Caernarfonshire, Wales, and grew up in the village of Penrhyndeudraeth, where he formed a skiffle band with his brother. In 1968, when at college in Cardiff, he formed folk rock band Y Tebot Piws with three college friends, which was credited with beginning the 1970s rock scene in Wales. Y Tebot Piws was disbanded in 1972 and Sbardun joined folk band Ac Eraill, who composed the first Welsh language rock opera in 1974. Y Tebot Piws reformed in 2002 and in 2008 released a collection of rock songs with a Celtic/Gaelic twist. They released a farewell album, ''Ta Ta Tebot'', in 2011. Aberystwyth
Aberystwyth () is a university and seaside town as well as a community in Ceredigion, Wales. Located in the historic county of Cardiganshire, means "the mouth of the Ystwyth".
