Xidan Station () is a station on Line 1 and Line 4 of the Beijing Subway located in the Xidan commercial district. The station on average has 60,000 entrances and exits per day. It was the terminus of Line 1 until it was extended eastward to Sihui Dong (E) on September 28, 1999. Fuxingmen Inner Street
Fuxingmen Inner Street () is a major street in urban Beijing. It forms part of the extended Chang'an Avenue. It starts at Fuxingmen Bridge in the west, finishing at West Chang'an Avenue in the east. The Xidan commercial area is in the neighbourhood of the street, flanked by other more modern buildings, such as the Beijing Times Square. West Chang'an Avenue
West Chang'an Avenue () is a major avenue in urban Beijing. It forms part of the extended Chang'an Avenue. Location It stretches from the intersection with Xidan in the west until Tian'anmen Square in the east. The Beijing Books Building and CAAC building all sit along the avenue. Some of the narrowest parts of Chang'an Avenue are immediately before and after Zhongnanhai. The southernmost entrance, Xinhuamen, is right on the avenue. The avenue finishes off close to the Great Hall of the People. Xidan
Xidan (Chinese: 西 单; Pinyin: Xīdān) is a major traditional commercial area in Beijing, China. It is located in the Xicheng District. The Xidan commercial district incorporates the Xidan Culture Square, North Xidan Street, as well as many supermarkets and department stores. The Xidan Cultural Square is the largest venue for cultural events with shopping nearby in downtown Beijing. Area Xidan occupies around 80 hectares (197.7 Acres) within the Xicheng District. Name The name Xidan (literally, "West Single") came from the paifang that existed on one of the streets there. Xicheng District () is a district of Beijing. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. Line 1 of the Beijing Subway () is the oldest and one of the busiest lines of Beijing's mass transit rail network. Line 1 runs underneath Chang'an Avenue, the city's grand east–west thoroughfare, right through the heart of Beijing with stops on either side of Tiananmen Square. Line 1's color is red. Line 4 of the Beijing Subway () is a subway line in Beijing's rapid transit, mass transit network. It entered into operation on 28 September 2009, and runs from north to south, parallel and to the west of Line 5, Beijing Subway, Line 5, through Haidian District, Haidian, Xicheng District, Xicheng, and Fengtai Districts in the western half of the city. It runs from Anheqiao North in the north and ends at Gongyixiqiao in the south, but the 4-Daxing connected line runs all the way to Tiangongyuan in Daxing.
