Xploding Plastix
Xploding Plastix is a Norwegian electronic music duo, consisting of Jens Petter Nilsen and Hallvard Wennersberg Hagen. Biography Jens Petter Nilsen and Hallvard Wennersberg Hagen (formerly in Norwegian black metal band Kvist) formed the group in early 1999, and submitted their first demotape in 2000. Their song, "Treat Me Mean, I need the Reputation" became an instant classic when it was released as a 7" on Beatservice Records in 2000. It was later re-released in 2002 on Hospital Records and championed by LTJ Bukem, Coldcut, and Grooverider. Their first album, '' Amateur Girlfriends Go Proskirt Agents'', was released in 2001 on Beatservice, and re-issued in 2004 by Palm Pictures. Since the release of ''The Donca Matic Singalongs'' album in 2003, they have been busy working with music for short films, movies, and TV- and radio-productions. Lars Horntveth
Lars Horntveth (born 10 March 1980 in Tønsberg, Norway) is a Norwegian musician (saxophones, clarinet, percussion and guitar), band leader, and composer. He is the younger brother of tubaist Line Horntveth, but best known as a key member of the bands Jaga Jazzist and The National Bank, together with his brother Martin Horntveth. Career In summer 2003 the brothers wrote a commissioned work to the "Vestfold Festival" in Tønsberg. The work was performed by the musicians who later became the band The National Bank. With his brother and the Lyricist Martin Hagfors, he received the Edvard Prize in 2005 in the Class for pop music for the tune "Tolerate" from the band's debut album ''The National Bank''. Salvatore was a Norwegian instrumental rock band influenced by post-rock, electronica and kraut-rock that was formed in 1998, lasting until 2008. History The band was founded in Oslo in 1998 by John Birger Wormdahl together with Ola Fløttum, Bjarne Larsen and Kjell-Olav Jørgensen. A session of listening to German kraut-rock band Neu! provided the impetus for the formation of the band. The band was among the winners of the Norwegian music contest Zoom in 1998 and as a winner went on a Zoom-tour in Norway, England and Scotland in the spring of 1999.
