Salvatore (band)
Salvatore was a Norwegian instrumental rock band influenced by post-rock, electronica and kraut-rock that was formed in 1998, lasting until 2008. History The band was founded in Oslo in 1998 by John Birger Wormdahl together with Ola Fløttum, Bjarne Larsen and Kjell-Olav Jørgensen. A session of listening to German kraut-rock band Neu! provided the impetus for the formation of the band. The band was among the winners of the Norwegian music contest Zoom in 1998 and as a winner went on a Zoom-tour in Norway, England and Scotland in the spring of 1999. In 2000 they recorded their debut album ''Clingfilm'' . During easter of 2000 the band traveled to Morocco with the Norwegian theater group ''De Utvalgte'' (the Chosen Ones). In Morocco they recorded the albums ''Jugend - A New Hedonism'', recorded as the soundtrack to the theater group's production of ''The Picture of Dorian Gray''. Hans-Peter Lindstrøm (born 16 February 1973) is a Norwegian music producer who works under the name Lindstrøm. He established the music label Feedelity in 2002. He often collaborates with fellow producer Prins Thomas (together constituting the musical group Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas). Lindstrøm won a Spellemannsprisen in 2008 for '' Where You Go I Go Too''. He released a DJ mix album for the ''Late Night Tales'' compilation series on Azuli Records on 9 July 2007. Xploding Plastix is a Norwegian electronic music duo, consisting of Jens Petter Nilsen and Hallvard Wennersberg Hagen. Biography Jens Petter Nilsen and Hallvard Wennersberg Hagen (formerly in Norwegian black metal band Kvist) formed the group in early 1999, and submitted their first demotape in 2000. Their song, "Treat Me Mean, I need the Reputation" became an instant classic when it was released as a 7" on Beatservice Records in 2000. Röyksopp
Röyksopp (), a Norwegian electronic music duo from Tromsø formed in 1998. The duo consists of Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland. Berge and Brundtland were introduced to each other through a mutual friend in Tromsø, Norway. They enjoyed the same films and music, and shared an interest in electronics. The two experimented with various forms of electronic music, and bought a drum machine together during the Tromsø techno scene before going their separate ways. Several years later, the two met up again and formed Röyksopp during the Bergen Wave. After experimenting with different genres of electronic music, the band solidified their place in the electronica scene with their 2001 debut album, ''Melody A.M.'', released on the Wall of Sound record label.
