World Junior Girls Championship
The World Junior Girls Championship (french: Championnat Mondial Junior Féminin) is an annual world amateur team golf championship for women under 18 organized in Canada. The inaugural event was held in 2014. Format The competition is open to female juniors who have not reached their 19th birthday by the last scheduled day of the championship, and who are not playing university or college golf. 20 Countries with 3 girls per team compete over 72 hole stroke play in a team and individual competition. Markham () is a city in the Regional Municipality of York, Ontario, Canada. It is approximately northeast of Downtown Toronto. is a Philippine-born Japanese professional golfer. She competed for the Philippines through 2021, having won the first ever gold medal for the Philippines in both women's individual and women's team event in Asian Games golf competitions. Frida Mikaela Kinhult (born 25 September 1999) is a Swedish professional golfer. She rose to world number one in the World Amateur Golf Ranking in June 2019 and won the 2020 Symetra Tour Championship to graduate to the LPGA Tour. Puk Lyng Thomsen (born 15 April 1998) is a Danish professional golfer. As an amateur she won the 2017 French Ladies Amateur and finished second individually in the 2016 Espirito Santo Trophy. Line Toft Hansen (born 31 July 1999) is a Danish professional golfer and member of the Ladies European Tour. Early life and amateur career Hansen started playing golf in 2007, taught by her grandfather. She played at Gilleleje Golf Club, where her parents owned the restaurant, and later switched to Hillerød Golf Club. Her brother, Morten Toft Hansen, is also a professional golfer.
