Who Made Who (band)
WhoMadeWho is a Copenhagen-based experimental pop trio, who formed in 2003. The band consists of jazz guitarist Jeppe Kjellberg, drummer Tomas Barfod and singer/bassist Tomas Høffding. Career The band released several 12-inches on German disco label Gomma Records including ''Out the Door'' and ''Space to Rent'', culminating in their self-titled debut album ''WhoMadeWho'' in 2005. In 2009 they released their second album ''The Plot'', the third album ''Knee Deep'' was released in 2011 followed by ''Brighter'' in 2012. The next album ''Dreams'' was released in 2014, and the latest ''Through The Walls'' in 2018. As a live band, WhoMadeWho has played alongside genre-bending contemporaries Daft Punk, Soulwax, Hot Chip, Justice and LCD Soundsystem. After touring together Hot Chip asked to remix their single "TV Friend", and Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age has covered "Space for Rent". Queens of the Stone Age (commonly abbreviated QOTSA) is an American rock band formed in 1996 in Palm Desert, California. The band was founded by vocalist and guitarist Josh Homme, who has been the only constant member throughout multiple line-up changes. The current line-up consists of Homme alongside Troy Van Leeuwen (guitar, lap steel, keyboard, percussion, backing vocals), Michael Shuman (bass guitar, keyboard, backing vocals), Dean Fertita (keyboards, guitar, percussion, backing vocals), and Jon Theodore (drums, percussion). The band also has a large pool of contributors and collaborators. Namosh (born 8 May 1981), also known as Namosh E. Arslan or Namosh Erkan Arslan, is a German singer, musician, performance artist, actor and DJ of Kurdish descent. Life and work Namosh has lived in Berlin since 1999 and is known for his eccentric and wild live performances. He performs mostly solo or with other artists at various events. He has worked with a lot of well known artists and musicians such as Peter Thomas, Wolfgang Müller and Angie Reed, performing or producing music together with them. In the music magazine Q, Björk described Namosh's song "Cold Cream" as her favourite song of 2005. The song appeared on his first album ''Moccatongue'', which was released in 2006. Abu Simbel
Abu Simbel is a historic site comprising two massive rock-cut temples in the village of Abu Simbel ( ar, أبو سمبل), Aswan Governorate, Upper Egypt, near the border with Sudan. It is situated on the western bank of Lake Nasser, about southwest of Aswan (about by road). The twin temples were originally carved out of the mountainside in the 13th century BC, during the 19th Dynasty reign of the Pharaoh Ramesses II. They serve as a lasting monument to the king Ramesses II. His wife Nefertari and children can be seen in smaller figures by his feet, considered to be of lesser importance and were not given the same position of scale. Rosalba Pippa (born 20 August 1982), better known by her stage name Arisa, is an Italian singer and actress. Early life Arisa was born in Genoa, Italy. Klaxons were an English rock band, based in London. Following the release of several 7-inch singles on different independent record labels, as well as the success of previous singles " Magick" and " Golden Skans", the band released their debut album, '' Myths of the Near Future'' on 29 January 2007. The Festival Internacional de Benicàssim (), commonly abbreviated to simply FIB, is an annual music festival that takes place in the town of Benicàssim, in the Valencian Community, Spain. It focuses mainly on pop, rock and electronica artists, as well as short films, fashion shows and art. FIB has a reputation of being among the best on the international festival circuit. The festival begins on the second Tuesday of July, when the camping grounds open, although music officially commences Thursday afternoon.
