Whale Hill
Whale Hill is an area of Eston in Redcar and Cleveland of North Yorkshire, England, lying at the foot of the Eston Nab, Eston Hills. It is within Teesside built-up area's Borough of Middlesbrough sub-division. It lies south-west of Redcar and south-east of Middlesbrough centre. The neighbourhood has a population of around 1,500 people, with a mix of age groups living in private and social housing. It also benefits from a local private members' club. History With the rapid growth of all the local villages and towns, the area of Whale Hill was built between 1966 and 1970. The 1970s-built local community centre is a helping hand for the community. Local money has helped make the area and wider Eston's appearance, including the local roundabout upgraded with a centrepiece of three whales swimming together with large flower bed around them. Redcar and Cleveland is a borough with unitary authority status in North Yorkshire, England. Its main settlements are Redcar, South Bank, Eston, Brotton, Guisborough, the Greater Eston part of Middlesbrough, Loftus, Saltburn and Skelton. Redcar is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2019 by Jacob Young, a Conservative. Eston
Eston is a Village in the borough of Redcar and Cleveland, North Yorkshire, England. The ward covering the area (as well as Lackenby, Lazenby and Wilton) had a population of 7,005 at the 2011 census. It is part of Greater Eston, which includes the outlying settlements of Grangetown, Normanby, South Bank, Teesville and part of Ormesby. Excluding Ormesby, the wider area came under the former Eston Urban District from 1894 until 1968. Eston Nab
Eston Nab is a local landmark to those who live along the River Tees, in north-east England. A nab is a rocky promontory, or outcrop, and Eston Nab, marking the highest point – at – on the escarpment which forms Eston Hills, appears as a clear sandstone cliff on the northernmost edge of Eston Moor. It overlooks the town of Eston, which is part of Redcar and Cleveland, and can be seen from beyond Hartlepool on the northern side of Tees Bay.
