Wu Tse-yuan
Wu Tse-yuan (; 17 August 1945 – 22 September 2008) was a Taiwanese politician, known for his involvement in black gold politics, and ties to gangs. Education and early career Wu studied law at Central Police University after attending what became the National Pingtung University of Education. Subsequently, he enrolled at National Taiwan University's Graduate School of Building and Planning, and completed a master's degree in transportation engineering at National Chiao Tung University, followed by a doctorate in engineering at Chinese Culture University. He later pursued further education at the Graduate Program of Building and Construction within the University of London. National Chiao Tung University
National Chiao Tung University (NCTU; ) was a public research university located in Hsinchu, Taiwan. Established in 1896 as Nanyang Public School by an imperial edict of the Guangxu Emperor, it was one of China's leading universities. After the Chinese Civil War, NCTU was re-established by former Chiao Tung University faculty and alumni in Taiwan in 1958. NCTU was selected by Taiwan's Ministry of Educations as one of the seven national universities focused on research in 2002. The Ministry of Justice (MOJ, ) is a ministerial level governmental body of the Republic of China (Taiwan), responsible for carrying out various judicial functions. History Taiwan's first Justice Ministry was created in 1895 under Japan's Ministry of Justice, founded in 1871 during the Meiji era, when Taiwan was under colonial rule. The Ministry of Justice was established in 1912 upon the establishment of the Republic of China, with the first Minister of Justice being Mao Zhuquan. After China was unified under the Nationalist government, the Judicial Yuan was inaugurated and the ministry was renamed the Ministry of Judicial Administration and placed under administration of the Judicial Yuan. Lo Fu-chu
Lo Fu-chu (; born 2 July 1943) is a former Taiwanese indigenous peoples, Taiwanese legislator and a self-described leader of the "Celestial Alliance" organized crime group. In the late 1990s and early 2000s he was known as the most notorious person involved with organized crime then holding public office, and was reputed to be one of the wealthiest men in Taiwan. While in office he was described by other legislators as "verbally and physically violent", and he was arrested the same day that his second legislative term ended, in 2002. After leaving office Lo fought and appealed many charges over the next decade, but was eventually convicted in 2012 for money laundering and insider trading and sentenced to four years in prison. Banqiao District () is a district and the seat of New Taipei City, Taiwan. It has the third-highest population density in Taiwan, with over . Until the creation of New Taipei City, Banqiao (then transliterated as Banciao or Pan-ch'iao) was an incorporated county-administered city and the former seat of Taipei County. Name origin The district's old name was ''Pang-kio'' (), which dates back to the Qing Dynasty during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor (1735 - 1796 AD). Lien Chan (; born 27 August 1936) is a Taiwanese politician. He was the Chairman of the Taiwan Provincial Government from 1990 to 1993, Premier of the Republic of China from 1993 to 1997, Vice President of the Republic of China from 1996 to 2000, and was the Chairman of the Kuomintang (KMT) from 2000 to 2005, apart from various ministerial posts he had also held. Wang Jin-pyng (; born March 17, 1941) is a Taiwanese politician. He served as President of the Legislative Yuan from 1999 to 2016, which makes him Taiwan's longest-serving legislative speaker.
