Wolfgang Auderer
Wolfgang Auderer (born 26 May 1981) is a retired Austrian freestyle skier who specialized in the skicross discipline. He was born in Jerzens, Austria, and represented the sports club WSV Jerzens while he was active. He made his World Cup debut in November 2002 in Tignes, with a 25th place. He finished among the top twenty for the first time one year later, with a twelfth place in November 2003 in Saas-Fee. The rest of the 2003–04 season was mediocre, but he then opened the 2004–05 season with an eighth place in Saas-Fee in October. He followed up with a twelfth place in Les Contamines, but then dropped into the mid-range, rounding off the season with a seventeenth place at the 2005 World Championships. Since then he has finished occasionally among the top twenty, having equalled his World Cup best of twelfth once, in March 2008 in Grindelwald. Skicross
Ski cross is a skiing competition which incorporates terrain features traditionally found in freestyle skiing with courses which include big-air jumps and high-banked turns. In spite of the fact that it is a timed racing event, it is often considered a type of freestyle skiing. What sets ski cross apart from other alpine skiing disciplines is that it involves more than one skier racing down the course. Any intentional contact with other competitors like grabbing or any other forms of contact meant to give the competitor an advantage leads to disqualification. Ski cross is a part of the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships, the world championship organized by the FIS for freestyle skiing. Jerzens is a municipality and a village in the district of Imst (district) and is located 8 km south of Imst at the Pitze River in the valley with the same name. Tignes
Tignes () is a commune in the Tarentaise Valley, in the Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France, known for the highest skiable area and the longest ski season in Europe. It is located in the Savoie region with good transport links in and out of Lyon, Geneva and Chambéry. It is best known as a snow sure ski resort. Together with neighbouring Val d'Isère, it formed the "Espace Killy" ski area. The proximity of two resorts offers one of the most seamless links between ski areas in Europe, in effect creating a single skiable area of over 300 km piste. Saas-Fee () is the main village in the Saastal, or the Saas Valley, and is a municipality in the district of Visp in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. Les Contamines-Montjoie () is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. Madonna di Campiglio (german: Sankt Maria im Pein) is a village and a ski resort in northeast Italy. It is a ''frazione'' of the ''comune'' of Pinzolo. Lake Placid is a village in the Adirondack Mountains in Essex County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 2,303.
