Chris Widener
Christopher Widener (born August 22, 1963) was the President pro Tempore of the Ohio Senate, and represented the 10th Senate District, which includes Madison, Clark and Greene counties. Before the Senate, he served three terms non-consecutively in the Ohio House of Representatives. He is a Republican. Career After graduation from the University of Cincinnati, Widener served two terms on the Mad River-Greene Local Board of Education before starting his legislative career. His resume includes a stint as a civil service architect at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where he also served as the base's first full-time historic preservation officer until 1989. Chris Widener (born 18 April 1966) is an American author and motivational speaker. Widener has written several books on motivation and business and is a member of the Motivational Speakers Hall of Fame. Widener first entered the public speaking industry in 1988. Widener started American Community Business Network, a publishing company later known as Made for Success, in the early 1990s. He co-authored the 2005 book ''Twelve Pillars'' with motivational speaker Jim Rohn. In 2009, Widener sold Made for Success to his business partner. Widener hosted several programs for The Success Training Network, which was a web television site for marketing and motivational content. Christine Jeanne Ourmières-Widener (born 21 September 1964) is a French businesswoman and currently the Chief Executive Officer of TAP Air Portugal. Early life Ourmières-Widener was born in Avignon, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. She studied for a degree from the École nationale supérieure de mécanique et d'aérotechnique where she received a degree in aeronautical engineering. George Dunton Widener (June 16, 1861 – April 15, 1912) was an American businessman who died in the sinking of the RMS ''Titanic''. Early life Widener was born in Philadelphia on June 16, 1861. He was the eldest son of Hannah Josephine Dunton (1836–1896) and Peter Arrell Brown Widener (1834–1915), an extremely wealthy streetcar magnate. Harry Elkins Widener (January 3, 1885 – April 15, 1912) was an American businessman and bibliophile, and a member of the Widener family. His mother built Harvard University's Widener Memorial Library in his memory, after his death on the foundering of the ''RMS Titanic''. Jeff Widener (born August 11, 1956) is an American photographer, best known for his image of the Tank Man confronting a column of tanks in Tiananmen Square in the aftermath of the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989 which made him a nominated finalist for the 1990 Pulitzer, although he did not win. Through the years, he has covered assignments in over 100 countries involving civil unrest and wars to social issues. He was the first photojournalist to file digital images from the South Pole. Taylor Browning Widener (born October 24, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the NC Dinos of the KBO League. He pitched in Major League Baseball for the Arizona Diamondbacks from 2020 to 2022.
