Taylor Widener
Taylor Browning Widener (born October 24, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the NC Dinos of the KBO League. He pitched in Major League Baseball for the Arizona Diamondbacks from 2020 to 2022. Career Amateur career Widener attended South Aiken High School in Aiken, South Carolina and played college baseball at the University of South Carolina. He was both a starter and relief pitcher at South Carolina. After his junior season, he was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 12th round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft. New York Yankees Widener made his professional debut with the Staten Island Yankees and was promoted to the Charleston RiverDogs after not allowing a run over innings with Staten Island. He finished 2016 with a combined 3–0 record and a 0.47 ERA in innings pitched between both clubs. Widener spent 2017 with the Tampa Yankees where he posted a 7–8 record with a 3.39 ERA in 27 starts. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. Reno Aces
The Reno Aces are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. They are located in Reno, Nevada, and play their home games at Greater Nevada Field, which opened in 2009. The Jackson Generals were a professional baseball team located in Jackson, Tennessee. Samuel Rutherford McWilliams (born September 4, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Chicago Cubs organization. He spent time on the 40-man roster of the New York Mets and San Diego Padres, and was a Rule 5 pick by the Kansas City Royals, but never played in the major leagues. Colin Michael Poche ( ; born January 17, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball (MLB). Amateur career Poche attended Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas. As a senior in 2012, he went 7–3 with a 0.21 earned run average (ERA). He was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the fifth round of the 2012 MLB draft out of high school, but did not sign and attended the University of Arkansas, where he played college baseball. In Major League Baseball, a player to be named later (PTBNL) is an unnamed player involved in exchange or "trade" of players between teams. The terms of a trade are not finalized until a later date, most often following the conclusion of the season. Postponing a trade's final conditions or terms is often done for several reasons. First, the team receiving the PTBNL might not be certain which position they want to fill, so this type of deal gives them more time to figure it out. Second, this type of arrangement gives the team receiving the PTBNL more time to evaluate the available talent on the other team. Nicholas Blake Solak (born January 11, 1995) is an American professional baseball second baseman and outfielder for the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Texas Rangers and Atlanta Braves.
