Whole Note
A whole note (American) or semibreve (British) in musical notation is a single note equivalent to or lasting as long as two half notes or four quarter notes. Description The whole note or semibreve has a note head in the shape of a hollow oval—like a half note (or ''minim'')—but with no note stem (see Figure 1). Since it is equal to four quarter notes, it occupies the entire length of a measure in time. Other notes are multiples or fractions of the whole note. For example, a double whole note (or ''breve'') lasts twice the duration of the whole note, a half note lasts one half the duration, and a quarter note (or ''crotchet'') lasts one quarter the duration. A related symbol is the whole rest (or semibreve rest), which signifies a rest for the duration of a whole note. Milk is a white liquid food produced by the mammary glands of mammals. It is the primary source of nutrition for young mammals (including breastfed human infants) before they are able to digest solid food. ''Whole'' is a documentary about people with a body integrity identity disorder, that makes them desire to be an amputee (medical term: apotemnophilia). It first was broadcast on the Sundance Channel in 2004. Synopsis The documentary examines the lives of several individuals who have body integrity identity disorder. They believe that they are supposed to have a sensory or physical disability, with some amputating a limb in order to achieve this. Some of the individuals are identified using their whole name, while others give only their first. Referring to themselves as ″amputee wannabees″, the individuals portrayed by Gilbert find different ways of coping with their apotemnophilia. George Boyer shot his own leg off, while Kevin had a healthy leg amputated by a surgeon. is a town in Wittenberg district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Geography The town was the seat of the offices of the administrative community (''Verwaltungsgemeinschaft'') of Tor zur Dübener Heide until it was disbanded in January 2011. Ferropolis, "the city of iron", is an open-air museum of huge mid-20th century industrial machines in Gräfenhainichen, a city between Wittenberg and Dessau, Germany. These can measure up to 30 meters high and 120 meters long, and weigh up to 1,980 tons. The area is also used for several events such as opera performances or music festivals, including the Splash! #IAMWHOLE is a British anti-stigma mental health campaign developed in partnership with the NHS and YMCA. It first launched in 2016 and is fronted by one half of Rizzle Kicks, Jordan Stephens. History In 2016, Spirit Media, the NHS and YMCA developed the #IAMWHOLE campaign for Brighton & Hove City Council. The idea for the campaign was inspired by Jordan Stephens’ track ‘Whole’, for which Spirit Media was filming the music video at the time. 2016 saw the launch of the campaign on World Mental Health Day at Brighton’s British Airways i360 tower. The day also saw then Secretary of State for Health Jeremy Hunt visit a local school to meet pupils and discuss mental health with them. British alternative rock band Nothing But Thieves joined WHOLE for its second year, recording an acoustic version of their single " Broken Machine" exclusively for the campaign. ''Through the Eyes'' is the first major label studio album by the American rock band Flaw. The album was released on October 30, 2001 on Universal, Uptown and Republic Records.
