Bracket (band)
Bracket is an American rock band from Forestville, California formed in 1992. The lineup consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Marty Gregori, bassist and backing vocalist Zack Charlos, drummer Ray Castro, and guitarist and backing vocalist Angelo Celli, who replaced Larry Tinney in 1998. Bracket has issued numerous albums, EPs and singles since its inception, including many releases for Caroline Records and Fat Wreck Chords. Their sound could most easily be described as power pop influenced punk rock with a continued focus on vocal harmonies. Bracket emerged during the pop punk resurgence of the early 1990s and released its first two albums '' 924 Forestville St.'' (1994) and '' 4-Wheel Vibe'' (1995) on Caroline Records. Power pop (also typeset as powerpop) is a form of pop rock based on the early music of bands such as the Who, the Beatles, the Beach Boys, and the Byrds. It typically incorporates melodic hooks, vocal harmonies, an energetic performance, and cheerful sounding music underpinned by a sense of yearning, longing, or despair. Pop punk (or punk pop) is a rock music genre that combines elements of punk rock with power pop or pop. Fat Wreck Chords (pronounced "Fat Records") is a San Francisco, California-based independent record label, focused on punk rock. It was started by NOFX lead singer Michael Burkett (better known as Fat Mike) in 1990. Ryan Greene
Ryan Greene is an American record producer, sound engineer, former owner of Crush Recording Studios in Scottsdale, Arizona and founder of Area 52 Entertainment in Los Angeles, California. In an over 25-year-long career he has worked with many artists including Jay-Z, Lita Ford, Tonic, Mr. Big, Wilson Phillips, Megadeth, NOFX, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, Usher, Patti LaBelle, Dishwalla and Gladys Knight. ''Live in a Dive'' is a live album by Californian punk rock band Bracket, released on Fat Wreck Chords as the second installment of the labels Live in a Dive series on February 26, 2002. The performance was recorded on August 14, 1999 when the band appeared in support of Tilt at Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco, California. The set included material from all of Brackets' previous albums, as well as songs from '' E is for Everything on Fat Wreck Chords''. Several tracks are different from their studio version counterpart. "Warren's Song, Pt. 8" (which appeared on '' Short Music for Short People'') features a lengthy musical introduction, while "2RAK005" is played at mid-tempo pace compared to its original version.
