''Novelty Forever'' is the fourth album by Californian punk rock band Bracket, released by Fat Wreck Chords on September 23, 1997. The album would be the last to feature founding guitarist Larry Tinney and the first to be produced by Ryan Greene, along with Fat Mike. Although Bracket had been issuing vinyl releases on Fat Wreck Chords since 1994, ''Novelty Forever'' marked the band's first full-length for the label. Prior to the album's release, "The Evil Bean" was included on the ''Appetite for Food'' EP. "Sour" was later featured on the compilation ''Physical Fatness''. Bracket (band)
Bracket is an American rock band from Forestville, California formed in 1992. The lineup consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Marty Gregori, bassist and backing vocalist Zack Charlos, drummer Ray Castro, and guitarist and backing vocalist Angelo Celli, who replaced Larry Tinney in 1998. Bracket has issued numerous albums, EPs and singles since its inception, including many releases for Caroline Records and Fat Wreck Chords. Their sound could most easily be described as power pop influenced punk rock with a continued focus on vocal harmonies. Bracket emerged during the pop punk resurgence of the early 1990s and released its first two albums '' 924 Forestville St.'' (1994) and '' 4-Wheel Vibe'' (1995) on Caroline Records. Following a staff shake-up, the label dropped the group and cancelled the release of its third album ''Like You Know'' in 1996. A bracket is either of two tall fore- or back-facing punctuation marks commonly used to isolate a segment of text or data from its surroundings. ''Fat Music Volume 3: Physical Fatness'' is the third compilation album released by the Fat Wreck Chords record label, in 1997. Booklet The cover and booklet for the compilation was designed and illustrated by artist Mark deSalvo in the style of a newspaper, with the liner notes for the band and song information written out as classified ads. The inside fold of the booklet contains the "funny pages" with 17 strips drawn, one for each band on the compilation, most in the style of a syndicated comic series. AllMusic (previously known as All Music Guide and AMG) is an American online music database. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Initiated in 1991, the database was first made available on the Internet in 1994. AllMusic is owned by RhythmOne. History AllMusic was launched as ''All Music Guide'' by Michael Erlewine, a "compulsive archivist, noted astrologer, Buddhist scholar and musician". Fat Mike
Michael John Burkett (born January 16, 1967), known professionally as Fat Mike, is an American musician and producer. He is the bassist and lead vocalist for the punk rock band NOFX and the bassist for the punk rock supergroup cover band Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. Fat Mike started out with his first band False Alarm in 1982. He credits Joe Escalante of the Vandals for introducing him to punk rock when he was 13 at a summer camp. Musical career While attending Beverly Hills High School, Mike began his musical career with the band False Alarm. After the band split up in 1983, he met Eric Melvin and Erik Sandin and formed the original line-up of NOFX. He has also appeared as a guest-vocalist on a number of other bands' tracks including "Peter Brady" on Screeching Weasel's 1993 album, ''Anthem for a New Tomorrow''.
