Westbrook High School (WHS) is a education in the United States, public high school in Westbrook, Maine, Westbrook, Maine, United States. The school serves grades 9 through 12, and usually enrolls between 600 and 800 students each year. It is part of the Westbrook School Department. The school competes in the Southern Maine Athletics Association (SMAA) and Class A athletics, as governed by the Maine Principals' Association. The school mascot is the "Blue Blazes". History Old Westbrook High School was previously located on Main Street in downtown Westbrook. The school moved to its current location in 1954. The school underwent an extensive addition in 1961 and renovation in 1992. Sports Westbrook High School is known for its successful basketball program. The Maine House of Representatives is the lower house of the Maine Legislature. The House consists of 151 voting members and three nonvoting members. The voting members represent an equal number of districts across the state and are elected via plurality voting. The nonvoting members represent three of Maine's Native American tribes, though two tribes have declined to send representatives. Each voting member of the House represents around 9,000 citizens of the state. Because it is a part-time position, members of the Maine House of Representatives usually have outside employment as well. Morgan J. Rielly is an American politician and author serving as a member of the Maine House of Representatives from the 127th district. First elected to represent the 34th District in November 2020, he assumed office on December 2, 2020. Due to redistricting, his district was redrawn to be the 127th district, which he won in the 2022 Maine House of Representatives election. Steve Lavigne (born September 22, 1962) is an American comic book illustrator best known for his lettering and coloring on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles title for Mirage Studios. He is the creator of Cudley the Cowlick, Sgt. Bananas, and Stump and Sling. Trevor Bates (born August 28, 1993) is a former American football linebacker. He played college football for Maine, and was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the seventh round (239th overall) of the 2016 NFL draft.
