West Weber ( ) is a township and Unincorporated area, unincorporated community in western Weber County, Utah, Weber County, Utah, United States. Description The community is located west and northwest of Ogden, Utah, Ogden. West Weber was reportedly organized as a Ward (LDS Church), ward in 1877, when it had a population of 700 inhabitants. The community took its name from the Weber River; the name was prefixed with "West" to avoid repetition with other Webers in the territory. The community is located northeast of the intersection of Utah State Route 39, Utah state routes 39 and Utah State Route 134, 134. The nearest major highway is the Interstate 84 in Utah, Interstate 84/Interstate 15 in Utah, Interstate 15 (Veterans Memorial Highway), which Route 39 leads to, about to the east. Interstate 84 (I-84) is a part of the Interstate Highway System that links Portland, Oregon, to I-80 near Echo, Utah. The segment in the US state of Utah is the shortest of any of the three states the western I-84 passes through and contains the eastern terminus of the highway. I-84 enters Box Elder County near Snowville before becoming concurrent with I-15 in Tremonton. The concurrent highways travel south through Brigham City and Ogden and separate near Ogden-Hinckley Airport. State Route 39 (SR-39) is a state highway in northern Utah connecting Ogden, Utah, Ogden to Woodruff, Utah, Woodruff via Ogden Canyon and Huntsville, Utah, Huntsville.
