Warrior Of Light
Warrior of Light ( uk, Воїн світла; be, Воін Сьвятла) is an International Ukrainians, Ukrainian-Belarusians, Belarusian Mikhail Zhyzneuski Memorial Award. Zhyzneuski was a Euromaidan activist and journalist, a member of the Euromaidan#Self-defence groups, Self-Defense Maidan, Order of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, Chevalier of the Order of Heavenly Hundred Heroes. It was founded in August 2015 based on the results of the International Ukrainian-Belarusian seminar held on July 1–2, 2015 in the Writer's Union of Ukraine. The prize is awarded annually "for the book of Ukrainian or Belarusian author, which as a noble, brave hero who fights for justice, preaches high human values, and is an example for others to follow." The laureates are awarded a diploma, cash prize, and ''Warrior of Light'' statuette with an inscription. January Uprising
The January Uprising ( pl, powstanie styczniowe; lt, 1863 metų sukilimas; ua, Січневе повстання; russian: Польское восстание; ) was an insurrection principally in Russia's Kingdom of Poland that was aimed at the restoration of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. It began on 22 January 1863 and continued until the last insurgents were captured by the Russian forces in 1864. It was the longest-lasting insurgency in partitioned Poland. The Vasyl Stus Prize ( uk, Премія імені Василя Стуса), given since January 1989, is the first non-governmental prize awarded for "talent and courage" and being worthy of the memory of Vasyl Stus. Kobzar Literary Award
KOBZAR Book Award is a biennial literary award that "recognizes outstanding contributions to Canadian literary arts by authors who develop a Ukrainian Canadian theme with literary merit". The prize is . It is awarded in one of several genres: literary non-fiction, fiction, poetry, young readers' literature, plays, screenplays and musicals. The award was established in 2003 by the Shevchenko Foundation and the inaugural ceremony was held in 2006.
